    Character Customization

I know this has probably been touched on a lot, but the main reason I bring it up, is due to the fact that I didn't realize my characters body parts would be darker than her face, or colored weirdly either. lol

I was talking to customer support about character customization, and they said nothing was in the works currently, but recommended I fill out a feedback note in game. Which basically got me thinking, "What if I posted this in the forum, and asked other people that wanted a character customization to be added, to also send a feedback note of it?".

So basically, all I'm trying to get at is, maybe if enough of us that actually want to change things about our characters, such as; hair, facial scars, paint, or other things, filled one out, maybe they would take notice sooner, and try to implement it sooner too? Does that make sense to anyone? lol

Also, fun side fact, I have a huge OCD thing about character customization, in case you didn't notice. I had to restart both Mass Effect, and Dragon's Dogma, more than a handful of times, just to get my character looking perfect to me. Mass Effect was the most tedious, because the character customization screen makes your character look different than in game, and their facial structures were never quite that great. I even restarted it a few times after playing it for more than ten hours, just because of how a certain cutscene made it look. Sad, and lame, I know, but I like making my character look exactly how I want in the game, and I'll do my best with what options I'm given.

Anyways, enough of my rambling. Sorry about that. So, yeah, if you're one of the people that would like to see character customization after the main character creation come in to play, the just send a feedback note in game, and let them know. Just be sure to be polite, use full words, and that it would be great for other players that would like the option, but aren't sure how to make their opinion know.

    Thanks for reading,
    Batman

I think a lot of people feel the same way. Many are looking for a post-creation customization option.

I too am a sucker for games with character customization.

This is a good idea for people to send feedback on your suggestion.

Lets carry it further. There are a lot of good suggestion here, if you like them send a feedback and post a reply supporting the idea...

If you don't like or don't care for a suggestion, DON'T send a feedback, if it is something you feel will negatively affect your gameplay, DO post a reply giving your constructive opinion, as OP said: "be sure to be polite". You want to convince people that the idea is bad (so people will not send feedback) not that the poster is bad.

What I want most is the removal of tattoos from outfits, for example, the Harmony Preacher.

It's just an outfit, why does it have to come with tattoos that I didn't choose for my character? An option to pick those on character creation / customization would be nice, but don't add them as a part of certain clothing.

I didn't even know some outfits had that, and you're right, it's a total bummer.

Defiance gives you little control over your characters appearance, other than the outfits. Which seems like a let down too, because they don't even let you mix and match the outfits. Like choosing which pants, or jackets, or anything. It's a huge loss on the players overall experience, and on trying to get them to feel like they're part of something bigger than just a game.

Same here :P and yes we definitely need something like this, some games {even MMOs} even allow editing your current characters at any time while you're in the lobby without resorting to actually pay for it. It would've been great if TRION did that as well, at least just to compensate for the poor and lacking customisation variety...

I'd also love more hairstyles, skin options {especially, humans are horrid atm}, faces and eyes etc.

Don't forget the terrible lip selection xD...i thought there would be slider bars to edit them...sadly they are only pre-selections.

I too really need to make some changes to my character. I know this will sound thick (& I have tried to research it) but how do you fill out a feedback note in game?
