The arkfall tells you not to kill them.

The pursuit (to kill 2500 hellbugs in arkfalls that has a tendency to reset itself) tells you to kill them.

Thus, people going for the pursuit are encouraged to make the crystal arkfall last as long as they can possibly make it last.

Fairly certain the minor arkfalls attached to a major arkfall do NOT give credit towards that 2500 kills. You need to kill enemies during the boss battle itself to get credit.

As an ******* that ran over 2500 skitterlings at major arkfalls, I can assure you the best place for kills is during a major arkfall at the skitterling crystals.

The minor arkfalls don't count.

Too much happens during the bosses to get a reasonable number of kills.

There's a need to get it done as fast as possible, since the number likes to reset. Which is why you often see the ******s (myself included) prolonging the crystal events as long as possible to up their kills.

funny thing is if you use a vehicle to kill mobs at the random spawns you don't get credit or earn anything, so why should using one at arkfalls count, what's good for one should be good for the other aside from the pursuit of running down enemies they just shouldn't count as kills anymore

Really, they should just lower the health of the crystals. If someone wants to drive around like a fool that's fine, but don't let one person string out the event for 20+ minutes longer than necessary.

Lower the crystal health, and even if people are shooting the crystal directly they'll be able to end the phase reasonably well. As it is, the crystal is too much of a bullet sponge.

I did the final arkfall pursuit yesterday after following advice on this forum to stick to only hellbug majors.Got all 2500 kills in one day and never used my vehicle once (also helped finish my 5000 CS kills and make a start on my assault kills).There is no reason to **** people off with crappy tactics and i have proven that in just one day.

It makes sense that people would bunch at one or two points nearest fast travel locations so i aimed for the middle.I would find a lonely point and if its a wave type just play it out and for the destroy type i just kept killing the skitters until the rest of the hunters caught up to my point then i played the rest of the fall out properly and waited for the next one.

OT - I would call the truck use an exploit,which is getting worse now that we can replay the story,but the use of the other vehicles are not (it is just an annoying use of the vehicles ability).

Problem with this is not all the events are kill the crystal some are waves, either way these people shouldn't benefit getting not just kills but scrip, arktech, ammo that others needs but cant get because some dweeb is circling the center killing everything. Then there's the end result where the same dweeb gets 1st place based on damage and kills. It takes no skill to drive in a circle, a monkey could do it.

I totally ran over skitterlings to get my kills but I had the decency to do it at unihabited minors within majors. I moved or stopped once people showed up.

Edit: While I'm thinking of it, the truck is invincible, right? Has anyone tried using it on the Golden Gate Mech?
