I had 1 (one, uno, more then zero and less then two) disconnects and not yet encountered a bug that is 'gamebreaking' ... as in making the game unplayable.

Any bug is annoying, it's what makes them bugs, and the chat is an atrocity no doubt. But a new chat system is something that's already in the works according to more than one official post and bug fixes are bound to happen ... just as there will be new bugs as well.
The mouse look speed when aiming down actually made me activate the aim assist since it's so horribly slow that I might fall asleep before the crosshair reaches my target.
Removing keys from emergencies and the new and improved (*cough*) mini game of tag-a-mob are unpopular choices and the silence on both topics is a bit bothersome, but it's not the falling sky.
So yes, I do have issues with the game design, but do you see me open a new thread about how pissed off I am every couple of hours?

Trion can't just pull fixes or a new chat system out of their arse (thank you dear british poster who tought me that this is not castrated and turned into *), it takes time to develop and deploy each patch.
Unless you suck it up and show some common sense and patience there is only one way to make you happy: quit.
I won't say this if we still have the same chat or if I still reload my weapon 3 times in a row in two months, I won't say anything then since I'd QQ myself. But right now, less then four weeks into the game, it's justified to call you out to get real.

As for content ... no reason repeat the whole thing about how 'episodic', 'DLC based' and 'parallel to a TV show' factor into this.

Defiance launch was pretty solid from what I experienced, but I'm not oblivious to realize how much being effected by the rollback must have sucked and I seem to be spared by any severe bugs (although I don't know of any) no matter what game I play.

Expectations will ruin your gaming experience if not managed correctly. Lack of knowledge how adding content to a MMO works and no patience will do the same for you. No one else suffers, just you.

Then of course there is no sub - you already played so many hours and basicly got your moneys worth, your entitlement only goes so far.

I have cleared and done all the content there is, and please, donīt tell me to do those *****y buggy persuits. Achievements are no content!!

There is yet to be any information about when we see a content update or patch whatsoever.
There is no communication, we are all left in the dark. It really feels like since they got our money, now we can go piss off.
There have been no fixes to the pathetic UI/chat, two of the biggest issues (for PC at least) ever since the first day of launch, hell even since beta!

There still are countless bugs in the game.
And the list goes on and on and on and on.

So many people want to like this game, but Trion, you make it next to impossible to do so.

I would really love this game to be sub based, just to see how the playerbase drops only after the 1st month only, to give Trion a big well deserved slap into the face.
I am sure it would be devastating numbers.

Also, shut the *uck up with your MMO launch BS. Itīs not like this is the first MMO out there. And it most certainly is not 9 years back when for example WoW launched.
We are in the year 2013, and I donīt see the reason why gamers still have to deal with such a painful and horrible launch. Also, like the title says. It has been almost a month now! What the actual *uck! Do I really need to wait half a year before I can start to properly play and enjoy the game? I donīt think so. Release it in half a *ucking year then!

I am really getting sick of it now. I know no one cares, I know there are threads around, I am well aware that I will be flamed, and I also know that this thread will be locked.
Because how dare you to speak up your mind, lol.

I am really fed up by now. Just wanted to get this off my chest.

Like others, this surely was the last purchase I ever did for anything related to Trion.

It is a shame to see this game fail so miserably. Love, Rend
lol this post is awesome in it's brutal honesty. It's really true too. I think for me I'm just seeing it as a side game to play on occasion, I'm already done playing it consistently. I think the only thing that is a saving grace for the game is that it was a one time buy.

If there is one thing about your post that I would touch on, it's how annoying I also find the "it just launched and it's an mmo" excuse. Because that doesn't even fly anymore! This has easily been the buggiest mmo launch I've played in a while! RIFT, GW2, TSW, Aion, all of those games launched with a few bugs sure, but NOTHING like this game. Vanguard and Age of Conan come to mind if I want to compare launch quality to Defiance.

It's almost a month and I just got it. I should have bought it much much earlier.

This is a bit of a confession, but I liked the lanterns and new data recorders.
Of course the whole emergency thing was less cool without any keys being given to me ...

Those things cost money. Rift was a sub based game so the money was flowing in. Defiance doesn't cost us much and we don't get so much. Seems simple and fair to me.

    Wrong.

There was a thread where it was suggested to throw in a subfee. I would gladly pay it, if it meant that issues would get fixed quicker/worked on harder.
It is Trions fault, and Trions fault only for picking the the payment model they picked.
They decided to roll with that system, so they need to make it work within this system.
Just because there is no subfee, we donīt deserve a Chat?? Did you read what you replied to?

The game was $10 more than Rift, still has a cash shop, and is balanced around active boosts. People say Defiance doesn't have a sub, but it really does-- it's just hidden.

And this ofc, thanks for pointing that out.
Despite that, like I said above, we shouldnīt suffer (according to MacDeath) about what payment method was chosen by Trion.
That makes no sense at all.
