How do you unlock fast travel?

I have tried to fast travel but I think it has to unlocked first. Please tell me how to get this unlocked.

Fast travel unlocks when you reach the location with a fast travel point. Shows up as a blue thing on your map.

Yes, you can click on the blue thing or use your little stick to choose where you want to go.

Double click on the blue markers from your map screen. They are only available at major quest hubs and pretty spread out.

Fast travel points unlock simply by passing near them. Almost all of them (except the very first one past the tutorial) are near the vendors you see on the map. Not every vendor stop has them but many do. But travel to each and you'll have a good set of fast travel points to use.
