I've been playing since launch day, have bought plenty of T4 boxes and so far only got 3-4 orange weapons either, all early on in the game.

Now that I know the value or orange weapons, haven't had one since.

I kind of like it that orange weapons are somewhat rare...I mean that's what "rare" means right?

Random weapon/shield/grenade type. Check.
Random quality. Check.
May or may not have mod slots. Check.
May or may not have a random nano-effect. Check.
May or may not have a random synergy. Check.
May or may not have the minor additional bonuses that you need. Check.
...

That's at the very least 6 RNG calculations. It is theoretically possible to play forever and never get the gun with the exact combo that you want (or even close to it).

The worst offender of all however is, you can do all current content with a couple of whites and while not being amazing, still be "competitive", so to speak aka the price of non-vertical progression. While this looks good on paper, as there is no significant gap between players, it's also a "carrot on a stick" approach, only the carrot leaves a sour taste.

TLDR: As it stands, the vast majority of oranges are overated. There is no point getting yourself worked up over statistics.

I've had the same problem. Almost to 2k ego and never even seen a legendary. Gotten lots of purples even vendored about a dozen of them. I have saved up a massive amount of salvage so hopefully when I do decide to turn them into keys even with my bad luck I should get something.

I don't care about oranges, but by jolly, I'd love to get that pursuit for having an orange weapon, shield and grenade equipped, no luck with boxes and no luck buying them either. I have 200 k and can't even find someone to sell me a stupid shield and grenade... redunkulous...

im almost 3000 ego, and i still only have two oranges. im sitting on like 400k scrip and 200k ark salvage lol, i've still only gotten two oranges in my entire time playing.... constantly openining t3s/t4s even tried t2s for a while, now since the nerf, i feel like... i just want to quit playing.

having a game be 100% luck based to get gear is wonderful, im still using my ego 100-200 weapons btw lol haven't gotten anything rolled half decent, =.='

i think im going to take a month or two break from defiance seeing that my luck is the worst in the world.

i mean i dont care about color, i care about rolls and i have still only seen maybe one or two immunizers both white lol

I got 2 mediocre orange drops during first week and after that I didn't see anything during 2nd week and then I've stopped playing at 1500EGO, 600k salvage, 250k scrip (I didn't spend anything).

At 3000 ego one would think you would have things figured out. Boxes are random and color doesn't matter.

Only problem with attempting to buy the oranges is there are those who are only selling them at upwards of 150-300k scrip per orange. So it'd definitely take awhile of saving up scrip to buy at least 4 oranges if you were attempting to complete part of the pursuit that requires 2 orange weapons, grenade, and shield.
