Just because its pixels doesnt mean you shouldnt get what you paid for. If you paid extra to have your car in black and it came in pink would you be fine with that? Just because one is a physical item and the other isn't doesn't mean the money people paid is any less real.

Absolutely, i agree the broader issue is receiving what you pay for and as such people have a valid reason for complaint what i think is crazy is the level of disgruntlement concerning this particular item.

What I'm referring to here is a little more abstract than the color of the pixels, though that is definitely part of it. Lots of people bought the upgraded versions for the armor(and a fair amount for the color of the armor, apparently). Now, as of today(April 26), they've sent out new advertisements for upgrading, but the original thing that was advertised is now changed. In the advertisement(provided), it's no longer red like many of the people who bought the deluxe editions thought they were getting, but the desert camo that people actually got. If there was less dialogue on this issue from Trion, one could very well make the argument that they did a bait and switch, or are purposely trying to cover it up going forward and hope that the "issue" goes away. Both are very bad.

As for the disgruntlement - I'm not sure about anything else that may or may not have gone wrong with that package(the title in some cases), but the armor is the most visible to the consumer, and therefore is what people latch on to. And then there's the fact that's it's red and black, which people will kill for, I guess. I never understood the want for that color scheme, but I dislike red as a color.

The worst part about this color change is there's an existing power suit (from Scrapworks) that looks so similar to the collector's edition outfit it's not even worth bothering with the DDE.

Maybe one day everyone involved at Trion will end up on the same page.
    just give them both?

It's not so much about the item but how it's being handled. We paid $40, which is not insignificant, and didn't get what was advertised. Eventually we were told that it was a mistake and would be fixed, but we still had to wait a while just to get that response. Now almost a month later, GMs are saying it's not a mistake, and Sledge is saying it is and going to be fixed eventually but there's problems getting it out to the existing players.

From our point of view, it seems like it shouldn't take so long to get what we paid a lot of money for. Looks like the deluxe was pointing to the wrong item id and giving us the wrong armor, which should take a couple minutes to correct. Getting the correct item to existing players could take longer, but still doable in a day or two. If they can give us all lockboxes as an apology, can't they just blast out the armor to all the deluxe/ultimate customers? Maybe for some reason it's not that simple, but we've gotten no explanation why it's taking so long, and only recently another confirmation that it will be fixed.

Plus there's the whole issue of getting our deluxe items so late that they weren't all that useful any more. I bought deluxe to start with a nice shield and have the red armor. I was ego 800ish with a better shield by the time I got my deluxe items and I still don't have my armor. It's really hard to see myself as not getting ripped off on the premium I paid for the deluxe edition. It's not wrecking my world, and while $40 is significant, it's not all that much money, but I want what I paid for. And when it seems like a relatively simple fix (which shouldn't impact work on the bigger bugs people will mention), we're told that it will be fixed, and then go almost a month with no updates, there's bound to be some complaining.

Talk to support (submit a ticket or live support). They should be able to fix that pretty quick.

I like the camo one, but I'm not going to argue if they give me the red on too. If its one or the other though then skip over me. I'll keep the digicamo one. Makes more sense.

Bloody ****ing hell?!? They told me in a support ticket long time ago, that they would fix my suit to red.

Now i see this thread, they better not be screwing this, i payed 69.99 EUR to get a RED ARKHUNTER Suit, so it better be a freaking RED suit!

Yea, you bet your *** i can get Very pissed about this ****, it's false advertisement and where i come from, there is laws about that and you can sue people from doing this and worst case, you can contact the right authority that handles false advertisement and they can start a case.

I dont know if there is the same laws where Trion has their office, but, im sure someone can find that out.

You have to look at it in context, as it's not any one thing. People are upset because:
    - They paid for one thing and received something else instead (and on top of that, many dislike what they ended up with).

    - They were told it would be fixed, a month ago. It still isn't, and for such a seemingly simple issue the time is beginning to seem unreasonable.

    - Communication on this problem has been minimal, despite a number of patches being released already. We were basically informed a month ago it would be fixed, and finally after much justified complaining we're told a month later that they're still working on it, and a whole lot of nothing in between. The annoyance of having to beg for a status update on something you paid real money for, that seems to be taking longer than is reasonable, is frustrating people.

    - On top of this we have support reps spreading false information and basically telling players they're SOL - which is going to obviously annoy people.

    - On top of that, we have forum trolls frequently picking fights with anyone who complains about this particular problem.
In the end, it adds up to the "crazy is the level of disgruntlement" you're observing. Obviously they could (and should) have done a better job handling this. Or, they could have just tested it ONCE prior to launching and avoided the issue altogether.
