What's the best way for me to be playing this game?

    Hey folks,
I'm at like ego 300 and I have a general understanding of how the game works, but what should I be doing and what is the best way to complete stuff?

As an example, I know arkfalls are good to do, but with so many people going nuts on the crystal, what should I be doing to complete the arkfall and be helpful?

Another example, I have tons of scrip, but not really anything to spend it on...what should I really be doing with that?

I've read some FAQ stuff, but an experienced player would probably have better or more helpful info.

Anyway, enjoying the game and thanks for any help!

However you want to play it. There's no one single way to maximize your enjoyment or reap the most benefits. Go at whatever pace you feel comfortable and just enjoy the journey. Start looking at pursuits, contracts, co-op, and PvP as side-ventures.

Arkfalls aren't terribly complicated either. Your EGO-girl basically repeats a million times (to a fault) what you need to do. If the crystal is blue, it's usually just waves of enemies you have to kill. If the crystal is red/orange, then listen to the EGO-girl on how to open up critical spots or do more damage. Really the more you do them, the more you will understand what's going on.

As for scrip, the only things that require a moderate chunk of it (10,000-15,000 scrip or so) are vehicles. Once you buy one from each class, buying additional vehicles is just because you like the colour. Collect them all?

    edit: added more stuff

I'm a little farther along but in a similar boat. Honestly, do whatever is fun to you. I like loot, especially orange loot so I've spent 90% of my time farming key codes (haven't completed a single side mission, challenge etc. at story mission 4 maybe, EGO 500, got 5 legendaries).

That's probably the best part of the game. You can pretty much do whatever you want from the outset (except go to San Fran hehe)

Phunpool explained arkfalls well above. There are about 4 types. You'll get the hang of them the more you do it.

Oh and of course the game is much better with friends. If you’re on xbox and want to game sometime or have questions hit me up.

This. Also, scrip is useful for some mods. Every now and then there is a decent mod in the special at vendors. Or if you're looking for a particular weapon, the specials change every hour.

Nice! Thanks for the info everyone!

I'm just gonna continue to plug away at the story and then see about multiplayer and getting some better weapons along the way. What does everyone recommend for weapons? I tend to like something rapid fire for the primary and rockets for the secondary. Any tips on what works good in conjunction with each other?

It's really whatever you like. The guns base damage doesn't change at higher levels, so a gun from low levels can be as good as a gun from higher levels.

Where the higher level guns get better is with Synergies and effects on them. Also how you mod them will make a difference.

But what do you do IF none of your friends play the game?
I've tried to chat online but no-one wants to join me. Billy no mates :-(

If you want to mentally traumatize yourself you could always do the time trial pursuits, which is what I am currently subjecting myself to. I have never known such frustration, but I just can't seem to stop.
