What's the point? -new character-

It'd be nice if they made episode pursuits and rewards account wide (title and outfit items, no point in keycodes and ego boosts, just have that be a claim on the char you want thing), and just increased the amount of kills, co op runs, etc. When they release new races it screws people out of the Nolan and Irisa outfits. if they like the new race more so than current. I personally have 3 characters (Human M/F, Irathian F) and did all the episode stuff on all three. I'm a bit addicted to pursuits and achievements. But one thing I do hope they add is the ability to change the face, hair, etc of your characters. Because sometimes I make a choice, and regret it, but I really don't wanna start over.

It'd be nice if they added racial traits or bonuses though.

I have an alt for roleplaying. I always give my characters backstories which determines what they do in a game and their attitude. For example, I will not do certain quests if it goes against their values.

My main is a selfish arkhunter so she is not stopping to help at emergencies or helping others. She is also kind of crazy so my combat style is rush in and kill em all. My alt is a medic from the war so she helps all she can including healing at arkfalls and in co-ops. They also have different specialized builds.

For me, it provides different options and is fun to create a headcannon story within the Defiance universe.

I'm normally into making alts, but there's no point in this game. Not only is there no point, but the grind is so awful I couldn't even if I wanted to.

I was thinking, if they made some pursuits account-based, like the weapons pursuits where you need to kill X amount of enemies with a type of weapon, or the racing pursuits, then it might be more enticing to make a new character. It'll let us specialise a character's EGO power and weapon loadout if we wanted.

i love having many unique characters for one game ya its weird also i can some times find my self taking over 6 hours just to create one character for a game lol

I have two alts, neither with very high ego rating right now because I haven't been playing them much... but I wanted to reserve them early so I could get the names I wanted. I'm working hard on my main to get the combat pursuits requiring 5000 kills, and also the final ego pursuit because that outfit looks so bad ***! I have alts with different races, and it was fun creating the different looks. I know once I hit 4000 ego on my main than I will just have some fun on playing around with my alts.

For me it's sort of something that I just do. Alot of the usual reasons I make alts just don't apply to this game though. But I do still have two characters at the moment.

My only real complaint is that the game's clan invite system must not have taken alts into account (or I'm bugged) since I cannot put both of my characters into the clan I am in.
The game uses your account name (if I remember correctly) to invite you to a clan, but only actually invites the character that you are on to the clan when you accept the invite.

As it stands I have one character in the clan I am in but will not allow my other character to join the clan since my "account" is already in the clan.

Hopefully they will fix this at some point because it seems like this was just poor design concept.

I have the same issue Jormunrek, but it's strange because I have been able to invite other people's alts to a clan, while their main is also in the clan, but it is spotty and random when it decides to work for me.
