Have to agree this was a bad change. I don't think it was broken before, frankly; if people were leeching, at least they weren't ruining the game for the people who were doing the quests.

Contracts are annoying enough as it is, aside from the other problems this created. Things like "kill 10 mutant minigunners" when only the first person to tag them gets credit... I don't know why anyone would actually actively seek out doing that in the first place, but they aren't even going to try if there's anyone else around.

Easy future solution is scale rewards based upon dealing damage. Kills can be tanken, but it's the one(s) who bled 'em would get the better stuff/exp.
then the people with the better stuff, would be th eonly ones getting better stuff. there owuld be no reason to do anything other than jsut run over a mob or 2 and leave untily ou get the xp/flag if you knew no matter hard you tried oyu would only get nothing but crap for rewards because no lifers would be doing lal the damage.

you have to tag em all with a grenade, then try to kill as fast as you can and save half your clip for when its about to die to overload nad be the one who hopefully kills it. if they cry about just use /ignore , it's not your problem. you don't wanna stand there all day just to get flagged for a couple dozen kills either, and would you honestly choose to help anothe rperson before meeting your own needs, knowing those people would never stay to help you after helping them? we need to keep it real. take what you need, and mute people that ***** about it. this is everquest *****es, that's how things work around here.

The new mechanics are terrible and need to be removed immediately. I'm really ****ing sick of Delta Bunker.

Sorry too busy trying to complete contract to effectively respond. When you only get a few hours a day to play you must spend it in delta bunker east kthxbai

Two sets of dailies and one weekly later I now know that either Trion likes me more than the lot of you or you just hopped on the bandwagon and started the waterfalls.
Mobs that I didn't shoot or even looked at did count towards my contracts as long as I was in the same coop or doing the same mission. Outside of mission areas or instances the new system now is the tried and true contribution system that pretty much every MMO out there has in place.
There still is an issue with Diablo Station though, but I said it before already ... D. Station being broken is not the same as a bad fix for leeching.

nah I agree, the current system in group-unfriendly, forcing competition now between every player to get a cred tag pre each kill, you pretty much have to memorize where some of the mobs spawn and make sure you get the hit fast, I hate screwing over other players who are in the area helping with other mobs and just don't know where he blastpods spawn for example, the old system was way better, even a leecher is prob helping in some way

most these places you go for kills work toward are group-friendly, all over the map, and yet you chose to change just the dailies, it really needs to go back, I am surprised in truth to think there was enough uproar about this non-issue to get it changed in the first place

and yeah, this is still coming rom a fanboi who thinks you guys, Trion, just need some more time, hoping this gets fixed in the april 29 patch

This change should definitely be reverted. A fellow player ought to be a welcome sight, not a hindrance to your progress. This change effectively changes PvE to something akin to PvPvE. It just encourages people to play solo even more, and there were few instances of grouping or in-game social interaction as it was. Plus, I used to like helping others out in fights and I don't want to feel like I'm stealing their mobs so I've stopped for now until this is reverted.
