Basic weapon level question (not the same question everyone keeps asking)

With an ego of about 600 right now, I notice that I receive weapons and stuff that's about 600 level (believe it or not, I just realized that yesterday...yeah, not the quickest tool in the shed, I know). Anyway, what I also notice is that the stats on a weapon that's 150 level is identical to one that's about 600 level. Is there something I'm missing here? What makes the 600 level weapon better to have than the 150 one, other than "600 is higher than 150!"? Do you get any special abilities, or are the stats somehow better, or is there something I'm missing here?

Nothing. This game is EMPTY, that's why it's free to play and the weapon level means nothing. They didn't put much into this game to make people want to play this game for the long term.

Actually it's Buy to Play. But yea, the weapon level really means nothing. Only if you want to trade your weapons it can be important.

I am going to actually answer your question.

The weapon level system will not change the BASE stats of a weapon. This is due to Trion trying to balance pvp so newer players can go toe to toe with the vets. Weapons instead gain better and better attributes. For example, I have a purple FRC big boomer at EGO 1250 that has 2 attributes. One is a 25% reload bonus if ammo is still in the clip and the other is a 10% full damage radius bonus. You will not find many good bonuses at ego600 sadly. Maybe one per weapon. I have even started noticing 3 attributes atEGO 1650 .

Also, you start getting more complex synergies more often. Sadly, these are somewhat useless since the mods seem to never drop.

Also, as your weapon profiencey goes up, so do many of the stats for that weapon.

So weapons do get better, just the base stats will not change.

As you get higher level weapons start getting additional 'bonuses' in addition to their base stat. Increased mag size, + accuracy, reload x% of stowed weapon on kill stuff like that and of course synergy bonuses. The increases are small but they're there.

The only difference is higher ego level weapons have a higher chance if having nano effects, attributes like added critical, synergies and open mod slots.
