Reviews are opinions & nothing more. Look at Brink it got horrible reviews & its one of my favorite games.

Most good gamers will be 100% done with mostly everything you can enjoy doing in this game, after an average 2 weeks.

After 2 weeks in Defiance, you'll be done with the whole storyline, completed most of all side missions if not all, and did all the co-op maps. So what you have left is pursuits and pvp, which for i'd say $20 would be a normal price to pay for a small title like this one honestly, as it is closer to a single player shooter.
Devs said themselves in their vids: "Defiance is a shooter 1st, an MMO second" which says a lot about what kind of content you can expect in a shooter.

Problem is we all expected some huge and big MMORPG content, and we now have to admit that we cannot have that in a small world, shooter online game.

Maybe in 2 or 3 years if all goes well.
I played the beta and watched videos on the game myself. What product I bought was exactly what I thought it would be. I am pleased and have beat the story line 2 times and still enjoy playing it. If this is all the story then yes I would be done but we will see through dlc and episodic missions whether the game will be so to speak huge.

True u shouldn't make decisions solely based on reviews but an exaggeration of said flaws can hurt the sales.. ign said the ai shows no intelligence whatsoever.. where yesterday I saw a monitor (dark matter) throw up a shield and his homies who I wwas laying into with my saw just bolted directly behind his shield.. coincedence or they might use tactics somewhat... idk think it at least deserved a 7.5 or 8 considering they succesfully made a console mmo..

I understand why this game got bad reviews and its because it was released to early with a lot of glitches. But I really enjoy this game and no matter what the scores are, i know i will be playing this game for a long time. Simply the game is just fun even with all its glitches. I think the game will get better and i know it will succeed. I hope that other companies see the potential and capitalize on the idea Trion brought to the table of intergrating show and game.

Of ignoring all Alpha and Beta feedback about bugs and simply releasing the game as is, then pretending these are all new problems because the majority of the playerbase isn't from the test phases?

Yeah theirs still bugs i reported in beta that have not been fixed but im staying optomistic and hope they will fix it. It feels like the game needed and extra year to fix its problems at the rate its fixing them.
