My first post here. I am loving Defiance, warts and all (mostly some random server things). EA and IGN used to have related parent companies and affiliates. Now, it's because IGN gets their money from selling games-bad reviews mean games don't sell well. And so they promote big name titles more.
Review sites are worthless, especially if they sell games or point to vendors for the games.
Funny you said that, I finished Defiance storyline in exactly 2 days playtime. If you create a game with the story to hide the grind you make a game that can hold the test of time... if you make a game that has grind as a means to keep it a float... better hope people don't start seeing that.
I don't know why people aren't getting this: This is not developed by the same team that develops Rift. Rift doesn't have the same constraints as Defiance. It's not multi-platform. It's doesn't have concerns about content crossovers with a weekly tv show. There is no reason beyond the show becoming the next best thing since sliced bread for anyone to revisit and redo a review, unless there is a strong uptake in users, or a massively advertised event. The fact that most reviewers see potential in the game as is might mean that they will check in from time to time. But I wouldn't hold my breath for a full review. And again, these 'crystal ball' scoring predictions just perpetuate more threads like this one.
this game sucks, let me play it over 100 + hours... idiots.
everyone rates it down...but plays the crap out of it and says its fun. am i missing something??
who cares about all the bs...the game is fun. isn't that all that matters? i feel like im in bazaro world.
