Lag spikes, help!

Hello everyone,

I hope you all are enjoying the game as I am. However the last fee days I've been dealing with lag. I could be driving my atv, fighting enemies or even just navigating through the menus and ill freeze up for 2-3 seconds, sometimes even longer. I've tried clearing my cache, and also having only my Xbox hooked up to the internet. Below is a list of my internet specs. Please if you have any tips, help or if your experiencing the same thing, lets fix this together!

I experience the same lag spikes on the PS3 version of the game, when navigating the menus the game will just freeze for 5-10 seconds and then carry on. Sometimes the freezing is so bad that the background audio also stops playing and can freeze for up to 20-30 seconds.

I think it's safe to assume this is a problem with the game and not your internet (or mine) and is not tied to a specific console.

I know its frustrating, and I've often thought about switching to PC. However I really want to play on Xbox. None of my friends have really experienced this issue, so I dunno what it is. I'm hoping to get help from someone.

Don't bother switching to PC, we've had lag since the game launched and it's not gotten much better.

So now i'm having HUGE graphical tears AGAIN! Before when I was having these I would be driving over a bridge and it would disappear. There is very little graphics now, and im falling through the map. I am making a video right now and will post it, but I can say Im officially pissed off. I've had this game since launch and I can not play it, I've missed out on the bonus xp that I got with the Ultimate Edition. Then they gave us XP time for all the connection issues, I've missed out on that also because this issue. I've missed out on the first episode 1 missing to get Nolan's costume and other perks. Im going to make the video now, stay tuned.

Lag on my 360, too, and my internet connection is about twice the speed you posted.

If you read the forums, you will be told by other players that the problem is with your connection *shrug*. I don't know how to help you, but I can say that I did a clean install of the game and patch, and cleared my cache, and reset my router, and reset my modem, and set up so my xbox was the only device on the network, and I tried playing during off hours. If you haven't already guessed, the story ends without any improvement to the lag.

I can say that it probably would not be worth your time deleting and reinstalling the game and patch, though!

Yeah it's not you it's their servers. I completed this game with absolutely no lag. Ever since they started patching things the performance of this game has just gone downhill.

I started having the same problems since the last patch. Seems that deleting my profile (playing on xbox) and then downloading it again seems to have fixed all of my issues, game even seems to run a bit smoother.. Hope this helps
