So far, out of all the MMO's i've played, none of them exactly meet up to my expectations and just leave me with an unsatisfied all-around gaming experience..

I do have high hopes for ESO though. That's probably the first MMO i've been excited about since GW2.

    What are your favorite MMO's?

Aw I'm sorry you never found that one true great MMO. My favorite will always be Star Wars Galaxies. I played it since Beta, was the first Jedi on my server, stuck around through all the crappy changes they did to it. I actually loved the CU though. It was the NGE that I hated, but I stuck around for a year after it, then finally quit.

I do also enjoy World of Warcraft. It's a love/hate relationship, because I can admit it's a very well-done and polished game full of features, but I'm just bored of it by now and I hate that it's the only game of it's caliber so far.

I have also had many a great time in Tabula Rasa and Fury. I think Guild Wars 2 is a great game, but I'm not interested in getting "vanity" or "cosmetic" items for progression so it doesn't keep me hooked.

Lineage 2 up till chronicle 4. Went downhill after that, to my taste.

Loved those castle sieges and the open world pvp.

    Hahaha Silkroad ftw!!

Hey hey hey - As a new player, were you ever killed on the road by some ******* spawning high level Thief NPCs and letting them kill other people? Cuz...that was me

I also got a kick out of putting on the Hunter outfit (for those that don't know, Hunters were supposed to protect merchants), getting hired by a Merchant for protection, and then halfway to our destination I'd throw a Thief suit on and jack his ****

I've played just about every major/popular MMO since Everquest. Everquest was my first, so it will always have a special place in my heart. It just felt so magical and different and alive after a lifetime of single player games. =) You only get that feeling once.

EDIT: I never PvP'd in EQ. I got -that- first magical, cherry-popping feeling from Dark Age of Camelot.

I'd have to say FFXI still, I've played a few with friends but FFXI was just the first one that made me actually really try and feel like I was part of a group especially when it came down to crunch time. I still yearn for those days now that I am older and could have a bit more time playing since I was in High school when it came out

Star Wars Galaxies. Back before the Combat Upgrade, which ruined the game essentially, it was perfect. It was one of the most complex games ever made, MMO wise. The fact that you actually had to go harvest things in order to craft...yeah. Not to mention, if you had top quality ingredients, you could easily have the reputation of being the best weaponsmith or armorsmith on the server. The PVP was also amazing. The fact that you could be what you wanted was amazing. You created your character, which by the way...the customization is amazing...never saw two people that looked the same, picked your core class and went on your way.

The game was truly amazing. I've gone back to SWGEmu, which is an emulator of the pre-U SWG. I've fallen in love with it all over again.
