So idk if others do this or if they dont.
But something i do is create a story behind my character. Not just a back story but almost a complete life.
My guy is an Irant lawkeeper/bounty hunter. He had a family once after the great war, Tried to settle and make a life for them on a small pow ranch. One day while he was mending fences in the back lot of his ranch.
A band of raiders came calling. His wife fought valliantly but was simply overwhelmed by the raiders who proceeded to take advantage of her and his daughter killing his son outright. After hours of torture at the hands of the raiders the wife managed to get thier attention long enough for thier small daughter to escape.
Slipping out the back of the ranch and running for her life the daughter managed to somehow make it to her father. He heard her screaming and rushed to her just in time to catch her as she collapsed. She was badly beaten and bruised and could only scream they have mommy.
As he held her in his arms with her lifes blood running down his arms and thru the cracks of his fingers she slipped into the forever sleep.
Wraeith distraught with pain and anguinsh gently placed her in the back of his roller and sped away home. Only to find his ranch in flames and the still smoldering bodies of his wife and son piled in the driveway.
He vowed to rid the world of this kind of senceless horror and to never again speak. For there is no words in his language or those of earth to describe the pain and loss he has endured.
Its not all of his story just a small part of it but enough to give ya the idea. and exsplain why my guy dosnt speak in game lol. So when i get alittle bored i think back on that story and somehow it nolonger bothers me to spend hours wipeing the ground up with tons of nameless enemys. Its just a way to get past the story and make it one of my own creating
If anyone else does this post your story and for those who havnt tried this. give it a try it might help see your character and even the game in a whole new light.
