    you wont like defiance if...

    1. you are a pc gamer that is spoiled by the mmo standard.
    2. you are a graphics ***** who needs to play glossy games
    3. you dont enjoy third person shooter mechanics.
    4. you cant or wont tolerate bugs within the first month of a mmo's release.
    5. you dont like mmos.

i play on ps3 and this is the first mmo i have ever gotten into... so the experience is fresh for me... i really have nothing to compare it to. the only thing that matters is i'm having fun.
if you guys have more reasons people wouldn't like defiance please feel free to list them below.

Is it normal that we HAVE to tolerate bugs for the first month(s)? Who made this a rule. Why can't we just have a solid game starting at launch.

because part of the game is server stress tests and other things relating to thousands of people playing online. there is no way to know how all these complex systems will work until people from all over the place log in and all of the possible variables play out.
it just dont work that way. it's completely normal for things like this to occur.

MMOs have bugs all the way through, the longest I played one was for almost 5 years and it had bugs pop up fairly frequently. It is part of the parcel since the game is always evolving, updating, patching, growing and that the game is so large and not everything single thing can be predicted.

Never forget it was the British Army's plan to collapse back to Dunkirk and f*ck off home pronto. If you're not there the Germans can't beat you.

Kind of - but if you are going to complain - bugs seem the worlds most legit complaint. Norm or otherwise, we should all expect the game to work

You will not like this game if.

    1. you expect to get the items your told you will get with your codes from UE's or CE's.
    2. expect their to be support for the game and when you have a problem or issue that it will get resolved.( other then trion ignoring you for days then closing your ticket saying the problem is resolved while they did nothing about it)
    3. expect to play with your friends (unless their all in the same region)
    4. expect to talk with your friends over the MIC ( their still broke)
    5. got this thinking MMO lots of people to play with and socially interact with, only 4 man groups, mic's don't work, region locked, and very small numbers of people to play with to begin with ( game did not sell well at all for a reason) makes this more of a solo game for you not by choice or option just for all the above reasons.
    6. your not a blind , rabid, fanboy of trion and all their products.
    7. you read the reviews.
    8. you did not get this as a gamefly copy or used gamestop copy you can return
    9. you value the money you spend and do not buy every game that comes out.
10 your expecting a triple A blockbuster title game from a major company with few flaws, like a COD,WOW,BF3
    11. don't like playing games with a bunch of cheaters and hackers
    12. don't like bug's and glitch's
13 don't get drunk or high while playing or to play a game ( I have been told it helps greatly doing this and makes this game tolerable to enjoyable)or like making drinking games to play while playing this.
14.enjoy spending several hours a day making phone calls, sending E-mails, going into a chat to get your money back after you bought this game.
    15.enjoy co-op
    16.enjoy PVP
    17. think theirs a graphic's card in your system to make the things on your screen look good and not to just take a slot up in your machine just to say you have one, your looking for skyrim or at least something that uses some of the video card keep on moving along to another game.
    18. expect patches and content updates, this game will make waiting on the skyrim DLC's look like they where out the next day after the game released.
    19. expect to not have to call sony and deal with trion over this game in the future I will bet that their will be all kinds of problems when the first DLC is released and that PS3 will wait for weeks or months for it while PC and XBOX have theirs just look at this patch problem.
    20. their are any other games you could possible think you might want to play or buy dead island 2, the last of us, bioshock infinite, I would go so far as say games off the PSN.
    21. do not like games with item malls after you already paid for the game.
    22. expect a game to run smooth and not be lagy as all hell if your on quality internet.
23 expect quests and such to actually work.
24 look for a reward equal to what your doing or time put in basically if you played a MMO and expect to get or find good drops from farming or a boss battle your not going to, best items only come in lock box's and the way their going their going to make you eventually pay with real life money to get a chance to get those.
    25. expect a lot of content from this game think more like less then 24 hours of story and quest then a huge grind for achievements and of course no good loot while you grind away doing the same things over and over again.
    26. you don't fully get why their are ultimate editions for this game still able to be bought at gamestop when games like borderlands 2 ultimate loot chest and the last of us gamestop editions sold out within hours.
    27. you don't want to say to yourself well thats time of my life I will never get back after you play the game.
    28. you do not think the trion format is the way to make a good game, put out broken incomplete product ignore the community, allow hacking and cheating to continue, try to fix cheaters and hackers with nerf after nerf or get the community so mad and concentrated on all the nerf's your putting in that they forget about all the broken stuff in the game and trions lack of trying to fix it ( also know as the EA claim to fame as the worst company in the US 2nd year running nice to see trion making a attempt to give them some compitition.)
    29. you do not think it would be fun to debate which things would be worse or more brutal like having to watch GLEE with your GF or go rent parental guidence and watch it with her, or play defiance and saying to yourself well glee is only a hour and how bad can that movie be and it's only like a hour and a half long.

Thats about all I got for now.

Game works just fine for me.
None of the bugs are game breaking or render the game unplayable.
It's still way better than Flop Ops 2!

i think expectations ran too high on this game i personally have no game breaking issues but with work and kids i dont get to play for hours and hours to find all these glitches.for trion to break out onto three different systems with this type of game was astounding to me. and i saw in one post bout getting high and playing lol i do get high and play the game but i also play close to equal amount of time playing sober. after the beta test i knew the game would have flaws but my expectations were just that people who want a solid game right at start i honestly think have never played a pc mmo of anykind. and to all their support haters you try and have a game on three differnet systems all with their own problems and sort them out while still trying to fix the game and dont forget that they have other games they have do all this for as well. i really enjoy this game and hope that more people will join down the road once it is a bit more polished.any way thats my two cents.

I just think it is fun as hell, regardless of the warts. The world has a really cool vibe and it feels great to explore and get side tracked, while seeing others running around doing the same. Just beat Dark Arisen, so I'm ready to really dive in.
