Nope, it's already been confirmed this is a closed-beta, and all character/progress/XP (everything) will be wiped before the official launch on the 2nd of April.

no they said many times beta and alpha chars will be wiped before release

Characters shouldnt be wiped, it will give people incentive to transition to the gold release ,anyone got a link where its confirmed there will be a wipe?,a character deletion will just make me cancel my preorder so i hope its not set in concrete.

Go ahead then. Though I don't get why this should be a reason to cancel a preorder. It's common that everybody has to start again at release - at least in every game that is not a dorky asian f2p.
