I've run into a few events but that one is pretty smack dab in the middle of the ring. I've had a few slow me down, but luckily haven't been completely stopped.

had this happen last night with the very first time trial you get... however the checkpoints were set up as if that particular emergency was meant to spawn in that exact spot, purely to make you drive through it.. (had a big gap going at an angle through the camp, on both entrance and exit of this gap was a checkpoint)... i actually made better time just bursting through than i did when i went back and farmed the event until it finally went away...

Feels good having gold in every race, hotshot, and rampage. And for the record I had to drive through a minor hellbug Arkfall with all the walls scattered about to get gold on the eastern race in Marin.

Finally got gold but there was still an event there after clearing 5 of them, I noticed when the next one spawned there was a decent gap where the ring would be so just blasted through hoping I didn't hit anything going through lol. Feels good getting gold on this one for sure

Try getting a friend to stand in the middle so the event wont spawn in. Should work since they usually dont spawn within a certain distance of someone.

I had it all, Arkfalls, emergencies, my vehicle blowing up right under my butt for no appearant reason and yet I did manage to get the black Challenger.

And yes, the emergency in SF is almost always there (or it was when I did it before any of the patches) and respawns within a minute, meaning at least your second lap you'll have to go through the damn thing. I just sucked it up and saw it as part of the races parkour.
For that matter, it is very possible to achieve gold and I hope they never remove the emergency, leaving one race that's actually difficult.

I think my funniest time trial was when a hellbug arkfall spawned in the middle of my route, and people yelled at me for running over the skitterlings that were in my way.

I got really lucky on this race. It kept respawning on me so I decided to take a break. I came back and the emergency site was COMPLETELY clear. Finished the race, got gold, wont do that one again.
