Ignore everything they say and only pay attention to what they do. If wishes were horses beggars would ride.

Bump. What does everyone think about the state of the game right now?

I wouldn't go that far. It is less what they say and more how they say it. If they think their game is still great even with its flaws, that's when you abandon ship. Diablo 3 is prime example of what I'm talking about - the devs for a long time didn't accept that their decisions hurt that franchise. From the tone I hear, I get the impression that they know what issues they need to address and that they're intent on fixing them. The question is whether they can do so in a timely matter and deliver new content on a reasonable time table.

As far as my opinion on the state of the game, I feel like the biggest issue is that there's nothing challenging. No hard modes, no real raids, etc.

I agree with Jack and also the need for content right now. But i will say that to say that patching and fixing everything first is a great thing that will prolong this games life and help players stay with the game.

State of the game right now is a shallow pool for a population of sharks. Limited space to roam and a thin layer of content covers a barebones rushed release. Players are forced to grind out their end game final pursuits in starter areas to justify more play time due to lack of content.

4 player groups and basic easy encounters present no challenge and no purpose for a MMO oriented community, might as well just pub everything because there is nothing you need organization for.

I'm bored and haven't played it in a few days, and feel no real desire to. We'll see what happens and if the next episode brings me back for a little bit. I may just invest in Neverwinter I think, not very happy with Defiance right now. It has a lot of work to do, it's not very rewarding with the horizontal progression and perk system (at least to me) and it's thin on content.

To be honest, I've yet to come across a game breaking bug. No broken mission, very few connection losses, a few graphic glitches here and there and the reload bug I can usually use my workaround.
I sure could use more content but the game is globally fine by me.

Likewise, it has gotten a lot better in my opinion since the game has came out. And i don't feel like im just waiting to get kicked off the server anymore playing the game like it was in the first and second weeks for me. I'm very interested to see where the game goes from here.

Exxcess, i agree too we need some new content and a lot of things need to be fixed and new ideas to be brought to life in game. Such as a social hub, clan/guild bank (whatever you wanna call it) more events and i could go on and on.
