Trion seem to have done a good job in amending beta times for us, so im sure if enough people find the snap/auto aim to much of a nuisance they can edit this, i guess thats another key point of a beta

Sir, you have insulted my honour. Pistols at dawn it is.

I was just looking at comments on how the game is performing on a console platform.

    Anyone else disconcerted by this?
From that video, looks like they're kind of cheating the auto aim into reactivating every time they enter the aim mode each time.

Remember you can always turn it off, likewise if you make sure you never let go of the aim stick(while on the baddy), you can avoid the lock-on and do your own targeting. I always try for head shots, you get used to how it draws your crosshair on to the bad guys and then can just pull away from it.

Auto-Aim... a deal breaker LOL?? ok then...

Auto Aim in CoD can be annoying as all get out. I don't know how much of an issue it will be for this game...doesn't bother me really..this is a whole different beast than other arcadie shooters bla bla bla... if it's an annoyance, i'll turn it off, if it doesn't bother me i'll leave it on. Consoles and PCs are different...supposedly you'll never get that "fine aim" with a controller like you can with a mouse and the whole lag compensation stuff built into games is why auto-aim is built into games bla bla bla tech bla bla bla

    also

    shooting bugs will be fun

Something to keep in mind is that auto-aim almost certainly requires that the person playing hit the auto-aim button (crazy thing, eh?). From what I've seen, the game uses crosshairs, so that you can manually aim.

BTW, this would be a NDA issue until tomorrow. On top of that, complaining about how auto-aim works is petty given that you can either a) not use it or b) learn how to use it properly. It isn't up to developers to fix stupid.

I'm pretty sure they've said that you can turn it on/off in the options(like the pop up damage numbers)

well PS3 version is live right now soo perhaps it's not a NDA issue with them...i mean...i doubt the whole forum here will get banned if we're discussing things that we're noticing via gameplay footage...

No, the PS3 live event is under NDA. The first day of Xbox and PC is when the NDA lifts.
