Snap/Auto-aim. Good or Bad?

Remember you can always turn it off, likewise if you make sure you never let go of the aim stick(while on the baddy), you can avoid the lock-on and do your own targeting. I always try for head shots, you get used to how it draws your crosshair on to the bad guys and then can just pull away from it.

I would love to know how to turn it off. It should either be nerfed, or give you and option to turn it off in the menu. Its annoying when you try to aim a specific enemy and end up aiming at a baby hellbug in grass you didnt even see.

hell i'm supposed to speak english as a primary language and to be honest, i muck it up most of the time haha!!

i think that this game is drawing ppl from many different countries where english isn't the #1 spoken language and some internet toughguys gotta find something to troll.

From what I have read, when aiming down the scope, the auto-aim is allowing for 60-70% headshot success and seems to prioritise closer enemies; so snaps to them even if you want to target an enemy further away.

Actually on the PS3, Snipers and Shotguns have almost no lock on aiming.

so it is Iron Sight targeting? that's not auto-aim. that's aim-down-sights. makes it a little easier to line up a headshot, at the expense of movement speed and such. you still have to aim though.

or is it Target-Locking? i.e. you hit the left bumper and the game automatically locks onto the nearest target so that you don't have to use the crosshairs/ironsight to aim at all?

i wouldnt mind if they did the aim like GTA with pushing the trigger abit to do free aim and all the way down to do lock aim

I find it annoying, like; Mass Effect 2 Auto-aim annoying. It's not optional, it's not helpful and it removes control from the player. It's bad enough that they gave us auto-aim in a 3rd person game but it is also required.

Missed so many shots fighting with the auto-aim snapping.
