well they are making a tv series based on the game....pretty epic since this is probably one of the most original mmo games ever....dont have all the facts yet but its official

Do you not find this strange? I'm not one to flip out and accuse another company that they copied another, but this is strange timing and could honestly mean bad news for Defiance. Hopefully Defiance can get things sorted out and start climbing the ladder before EVE gets around to starting this show... If they ever do.

I don't think defiance has to worry about eve. I have seen how hard eve is to figure out and from the complaints I have seen on this forum I doubt many people will be switching over to eve. xD

gotta say they evolved good,listened to the users....made things interresting and each major patch gets every eve player exited...even the ones that have been afk for some time....been playing since 2005...well not so much this year but theres a major expansion coming soonish which expands the eve universe eve further...so it got me exited...

I was referring to the Tv series. I hope I didn't misunderstand the OP. The game will be fine but I mean if EVE does make a TV series I think it could out do Defiance. personally I like the show so far but it seems a lot complain more about it then anything... then again what's new?

Depends really. I have not played much of eve so not sure entirely what it is about but would a tv show not just be very similar to star trek?

EVE already has an established, dedicated community. So if they started up a Sci-Fi series it could simply overtake Defiance before it was able to build its own community. But to the OP how soon in the future do they plan on making this series? Or have they already started development?
