should not be close to star trek....if i would descibe the fighting in eve to any show then it would probably be battlestar galactica....its adrenaline rush from the first seconds.....

Depends. I think the OP could answer that with a better answer than I but honestly I think EVE could be another Battlestar Galactica popularity wise. I'm too young for the Star Trek era.
