is there a difference between power rating and EGO rating?

Ok. So since I started the game my power rating and EGO rating have reflected the same number. About a week ago the numbers stopped matching up. I am currently EGO rating 905 but when I log in it shows me having a power rating of only 770.
A few other strange instances have happened around the same time. For instance, I have used the same roller since I purchased it. I drove everywhere instead of using the fast travel so i can level it up. It got up to level 40 and wouldn't go any higher. It was out doing most mustangs which gave me the advantage when racing to arkfalls. About an hour after, my roller level went "up" to level 2?!?! I lost all the hard work i put in just to start over again. I'm back to driving everywhere, again...
Anyway, it's still an awesome game and I've gotten a bunch of my buddies to buy it. Can't wait to see where they go with it next!

Power rating is the levels you gained by xp bar i presume. ego is overall.

I've had it show different numbers when I was a lower level and now it shows the same number. I assume they're the same and it's just another bug as to why they're different.

Likely a bug and not XP / overall since my Power rating sometimes ends with 4 or 6 which is impossible with just XP iirc.
