Need a 'who is speaking' icon, so we know who to mute...

So, the other day I was at an arkfall. And some guy had his mic hooked up to his stereo. So, he was basically just letting us all listen to his music. This might possibly be okay if he was playing 'The Doors' or something decent, but, I kid you not, the lyrics said... well, not to bypass the filter, but the F word and the N word... (those two words, one after the other), over and over again. It was music by some young rap guy, like Little Wayne or something, just crapping away on to the stereotype of his ethnicity. But seriously, he was forcing everyone in the zone with area chat on, to listen to his horrible music.

I mentioned it repeatedly, and told him to shut it off in area chat. But to no avail. After that song ended, he played another disgusting song.

So, instead of being a part of the arkfall, I just stood there and accessed my menus. I systematically went about muting and then unmuting everyone on my 'nearby' list, until the music finally stopped. I had to go back and unmute him once, just to make sure he didn't simultaneously stop his music. After I unmuted him, the music started right up again, so now I know who to keep on my mute list forever. I then mentioned to the area who his handle was, so they could mute him too if they wanted, but by then the arkfall had just ended, and people were starting to leave the area anyways.

I would really like some way to see who it was that their mic was running. Heck, I've heard people have telephone conversations and not know that their mic was actually sharing everything with the individuals around them.

I'm not asking for anything drastic, like spamming character names each time a mic makes noise. But something like... say, when you go to the 'people nearby' list, you can see their mic flash when it is running. this way, it would be very easy to pick out the people who leave their mics uncalibrated, and every time the area they're in makes a noise, it echos through the entire area.

I'm tired of having to turn my television down to nothing when these types of event occur.

I feel as though when someone's mic is on an exclamation appears over their character's head when they are talking, at least I swear that is what I saw in a pvp map at one point. This is also on PC, so maybe it is different across platforms. I just turned off voice completely, lol so I don't know if it changed since then. But I too experienced a similar occasion, though it wasn't his stereo, but his voice rapping to no beat in particular. Other occasions I have had are people having conversations with their family or wives where I can hear all parts of the conversation, and there are just some things you can't unhear. I didn't want to hear that all map so I just shut of voice entirely. I know in co-op maps some kind of icons appears next to the player's name, as well as that exclamation mark over their character.

The way I and other clan mates have been handling that ******** is to go to the social tab and then scroll over to the chat logs tab the person who is being the rude prick is almost always the first person at the top of the list on the user chat history because they constantly make noise it keeps them at the top of the list then you just mute/kick I agree there does need to be a easier way to find out who's doing it
