with how easy this game is, the steep learning curve of dust, and that this game will be reset I'd say you're not gonna miss out on anything in this beta...I've already done all you can do in the beta... DUST while is only a couple of game mode and a few maps or so has a lot more depth to it and requires team work. Don't try playing it like COD or you will get pwnt by even noobs

Dust is so boring and has so little content that even the people who like the game would rather go afk collecting exp that way than actually play the game.

There really is no steep learning curve to dust, you run and spray and pray.. That's the whole gist of it. Dust will also get reset. You can boast that its great or awesome, this game is much harder in PvP simply because it boasts so much variations that you never know what you're going to end up fighting.

You sir have shown little information as to what is OP, or how said things are OP, and I believe you know little of what you are speaking or else you would actually show some form of example as to what you're coming up with. Also might I point out that Dust has real, honest to goodness.. Microtransactions, In a Beta?

I wasn't trolling, those are my feelings about the platform, and the titles. People have differing opinions, you'll eventually learn that does not make them "trolls", by any definition of the term.

Now go run along to whatever bubble of vapid technological chest pounding insecurity you live in.

Dust has a retention rate of a fraction of 1%. People who tried it clearly don't like it. Alot of people are still only playing bc theyve already invested money and dont want to fall behind. And LOL at shoving microtransactions down your playerbases's throats in a beta (a terrible one no less).

what are you smoking? let me guess you think cod is the best shooter out there... go play halo, that's probably the second worst MP i've ever played which ever the last one of those I played was... I mean for true competition that is, the co-op is fun and so are the competitive modes, but its not a legit game for competition its just all wanky and doesn't require any real skill or tactics cause a newb is just as likely to do well with no knowledge of those things. Same deal with COD series there is nothing legit about the competitive modes the game requires no skill, the only tactics needed are knowing where to camp and spawn trap.

now compare that to games like battlefield or Dust 514 there is a key difference in quality and legitimacy as a competitive game.
    1. dedicated servers
    2. REQUIRES teamwork and tactics to be successful.
Even with the best equipment you can't just go hot dogging around all commando like you would in halo or cod as you will get stomped.

To be honest Dust 514 is pathetic, all they players sit there and wish for what might be in the future of the game, while they do that, they play a game that lags more than a sega genesis game.

The only COD i've played was MW3 and I thought it was pretty bad, but even then it blows Dust away. Dust is a truly awful game, and its really not debatable. It iswithout a doubt the worst shooter out there in a very crowded market that an endless amount of better games.

Competitive requirements = Not a beta, servers that allow you to compete directly ( not against random people with your big pimped team/gear ), A working game that doesn't have poor register, lag, and broken mechanics.

if that's all you did in dust you obviously have no idea how to play that game and probably got stomped a lot. That game is not COD/HALO... this game has no real balance in PvP all that matters is what guns you have. There is no true legitamacy to the PvP whatsoever. Still fun tho. Dust may or not get reset, that last reset was supposed to be the "last reset" so even if that's not true my point still stands... as it is in this beta there isn't much to see or do and it is not complicated at all.
There is a great plethora of depth in dust in regards to skills, suits, and tactics. It can take a while to figure out what works for someone or what role one would like to play in that game.

that's because I didn't say anything about OP this or that... was merely offering my opinion on dust. who cares that dust offers micro transactions in a beta... those people that spend that money get some benefits from it and it doesn't hurt anything, doesn't break the game, the game isn't pay to win at all (you didn't imply or say that... someone else on the forums did somewhere) the reason I don't play it that much is because the commitment level for that type of MMO is similar to that of EVE or even WoW, and honestly there are to many other games I'd like to play to just focus on one exclusively like that.

Which is what is fun about this game: its rediculously easy, the PvP is fun and not serious just like HALO (fun and not serious) requires no real skill, but can be a bit painful for newer players due to other players having supa weapons. So this game is simple and laid back IMO which makes it a fun and more casual style of MMO than say Dust or DCUO.

    ------
if you think dust lags more than COD you don't understand lag or game mechanics... I've never played a game of dust with lag, and i've never played a game of COD without lag
