    Weapon Skills Not Moving

Ok, to get this out of the way I use different types of non maxed out guns all the time. If I use an infector, just started, I'd expect it to move the white line on my skill level after using on 100's of different enemies. But nothing. I'm a level 1050 and I do not have a single weapon above 5. Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be great and thanks.

Weapons have a maximum amount of XP they can earn. Go try to change the weapons in your loadout. Look to see if the XP bar(s) on the one(s) you use are maxed out, and switch to a different one if they are. That's a common thing people (myself included) fail to notice.

I do that, I use new guns all the time. The only thing I've maxed out is my Roller. But guns I switch up all the time and no movement on skills. Really stinks.

Assault Rifles worked OK for me, took them up to level 20, although 19 to 20 meant leveling a LOT of different Assault Rifles. Level one weapon type exclusively, carry about 5 of that type, level each weapon up, then check the bar again. If it still hasn't moved or at least ranked you up a couple of times, there's a problem.

Yeah, am I the only one who thinks it's f'ing ******ed that when you max an individual weapon (which doesn't take long at all!), it also stops you from further increasing your skill level with that weapon type entirely? Who in the blue hell thought that sounded like a good idea? It completely defeats the purpose of trying to acquire and modify the rarer more powerful versions of the weapon, when you just have to turn around and sell the damn thing an hour or two later! Unless of course your skill with that weapon type is already maxed!
I know it sounds minor or petty, but this is one of the only thing that's making me seriously reconsider how much time I want to invest in this game. Maybe it's just me but I don't want an mmo that does everything possible to de-emphasize equipment.

It's only the yellow critical score that counts if you want to max out weapons play scrapworks salvage and shoot the rotar enemies in the red part and the larger enemy's in the yellow parts
