SOOOO chat still SUCKS

The whole game dynamic would change with chat. Its the one thing that has kept me FROM playing the game. Yes I bought it but I will never use the cash shop, never recommend it to my friends and in general will play through the story and call it a day. Please add chat, socialization in MMO's is like 25% of the reason of calling it an MMO.

Yes, the whole dynamic would change, but not necessarily for the better.
Non-existent general chat is a blessing!
With almost 20 years of gaming experience, I can say that nothing good ever comes out general chat channels.
However, non-existent team/clan chat is a detriment and should be made more user-friendly.

Also, Defiance is not an MMO, it is a TPS - big difference.
If you want an MMO with MMO-like features you would have to play WoW, SWTOR, etc.

I would definitely like to see improvements in chat. I think this will improve the game's longevity significantly. Also, I would like mouth-breathers and other noisy people to bind their mic pick-ups to a button lol.

As long as it has squad VOIP I don't care about the general chat. It often ends up a cesspool. At least I can have some laughs with friends and squad members.

Actually every dev ever interviewed calls it an mmo.A purely standard TPS wouldn't need to be online or be persistent.

This is sold as an mmo and therefore needs to get its act together.
