I Hate Saying This But We Need Raids...

I was never really a fan of Elitist ******s when it came to progressive raid groups in other MMOs but I would sacrifice their Tom Foolery now for a legitimate reason to be apart of a clan for any purpose other than gaining their XP bonuses. Don't get me wrong, clans can coordinate PVP matches together but as far as PVE, being a member of one is pretty pointless. When you need 15-20 clan members to be on at a time and work together to get some raid progression going it forces one to interact with them verbally and creates that community Trion was talking about before release. I find it harder and harder to justify why I should log on and play this game anymore. I PVP on the two maps available for a while then do a little COOP, but probably my main motivation to getting online is to check the vendors lol. Bring in the raids, give consumers similar to myself a reason to log on in the future for years to come. This game has rediculous potential. I'd just like to see its fruition before I move on to something else.

Too bad that this game had a finish date... They could have added more to the game, like two types of storylines (like Rift did); one being the regular path that we all do now, or a raider (or whatever else evil) finding out about the same plans eventually ending up to the same final mission. This game does have mad potential, and for what it's worth it really is a good game already, adding more would make it a very better game but it lacks a lot of content. I agree with this
"Insanity; When the world goes mad, one must accept madness as sanity; since sanity is, in the last analysis, nothing but the madness on which the whole world happens to agree."

I second this. I personally would love to take on a few monoliths at once with a few clan mates at the end of a raid.

Some kind of elite / hardmode Arkfalls designated for clans would be kind of cool and it would certainly make this game feel more like an MMO.

    Instanced raiding though? Meh.

Yep I want this as well and maybe not that many people, but a good number would be nice. First thing they would probably have to do is increase the group size for that instance though.

I think they could fulfill the role, by adding some strongholds with their own type of shadow war into the world map. Just use shadow war coding, but set the sides joinable to only the two clans fighting between eachother. Have each one require a certain amount of scrip and ark crap in the guild bank, to allow them to attack or defend again an attack. And they collect a certain amount of scrip and ark crap each day they hold X amount of nodes.

Would give a good reason to both join a good guild, or form your own to take one's loot.

And these raids would be a purely social thing or would they also provide the participants with better weapons/mods than found anywhere else in the game?

Actually that would be somewhat similar to PlanetSide 2 or Global Agenda's mechanics which were pretty successful and decently entertaining.

Better gear is always a major incentive to bringing in participants.

Nothing wrong with wanting an MMO to have some sort of team oriented gameplay. It's not going to happen though because the game doesn't have any classes or roles to facilitate anything but mindless damage dealing.

Classes no, but Bio/Flashbang nades or sludge rocket for CC, Decoy/ DR Spec for tanking roles, Heal BMG's or maybe heal grenades "Hint", Etc... It wouldn't be about classes as much as it is about designating combat roles with clanmates for raid challenges. It promotes communication in figuring out who has the top gear for each role and which role individuals would want to fill. We don't need classes to accomplish this.
