I'm not sure if getting better odds should be involved in cash shop items but the costs should definitely be reduced.
If they are not going to reduce the cost or increase drop chance then I wonder if they are going to have sales.
Like a 2 x Bit weekend or 1/2 price Lock Box sale.
At the moment the Cash Shop is pretty lame, too expensive and rather boring.

Dude, it's clearly gambling. You can't complain if you didn't win. You bought a chance not a guarantee.

i brought 20 tier 4 from cash shop not one frikking orange or even a purple in there only blue and green crap

so why have them in the shop in the first place ? if there is no diffrence from ingame lockboxes that i dont need to spend cash on ?

surely the special t4 lock box they advertise in cashshop should have some advanage to buying ingame one right ?

but no its just a frikking case of fruadulent misadvertiseing that all

    So true.

LOL @ spending cash for those boxes when there have been numerous threads on the forums about how poor the drop rates are in them, and how to easily farm keys to get them without being gouged in the store. There was no 'fraudulent misadvertising' involved, just a lack of common sense and research before purchasing the boxes.

If you're looking for a pay to win game, this isn't it.

What is your EGO Rank? Items are always going to roll on your EGO so higher EGO means better stuff. I've got a couple Oranges from T3's and one from a T2. It's all luck. Unfortunately for me the Oranges I got were for weapon types I don't use so they are just sitting in the inventory. But it's a gamble...

so why have them in the shop in the first place ? if there is no diffrence from ingame lockboxes that i dont need to spend cash on ?
They are in the shop as a convenience item. You are right, key are relatively easy to get. But some players don't want to go after keys, they want to just buy some Bits and take their chances that way. If you are the kind of player that uses just about any weapon it always works out. If you specialize in just a few maybe it's kind of expensive that way but some people don't have time to play for hours on end to grind out keys, and have extra money to buy lock boxes instead. Time = Money and Defiance takes that literally. Earn your Lock Boxes or buy them, it's all the same.

surely the special t4 lock box they advertise in cashshop should have some advanage to buying ingame one right ?
No, it should not. The reason for this is pretty simple - real world cash can NEVER be more powerful than in-game currency for a video game or it becomes "Pay-To-Win". If buying a Lock Box with Bits gave you better gear than a regular box, or a better chance at gear, than players who spend money would be inherently better than players who don't. You have to give players who don't spend money the same access as players who do, you just require them to spend time to do it.

but no its just a frikking case of fruadulent misadvertiseing that all
Actually, if it was "misadvertiseing" (false advertising?) they would have had to have... falsely advertised something. When you buy a T2, T3, or T4 Lock Box it says that your buying just that: A T2, T3, or T4 Lock Box. It has the exact same description, name, and picture as the one purchased with Scrip/Keys and is available from the same vendor. There is no indication that it is any different, because it isn't. If you thought it was different that was just a poor assumption on your part.

Why would anybody spend real money on lockboxes. They are easy enough to get in game. And the chances are exactly the same as if you spent in game currency and keys, what made you think they were different? I know id be pissed if I spent real money on some greens and blues as well, even purples are easy to find in game. I know how your feelin, that sucks but dont make that mistake again. Dont give trion cash for crummy lockboxes if you can get em by other means ppl. Itd be diff. If you were garaunteed more than an uncommon green.

But you cant really call it a rippoff if you spent money on something that is essentially free my friend. You knew what it was when you paid for it.
