    Voice chat suggestion?

Im not sure if this is in the right place, but since i play the xbox version of the game and seem to enjoy it quite immensely.I figured id throw my 2 cents in. I come from a background in hardcore mmo raiding. Ive lead a guild to best on the server to end an expansion in wow. With that being said, i dont think this is a pure mmo due to the fps feature of it. I do think the it does have the massiveness feeling of an mmo. Just missing the communication part of the pure mmo's.

I think in the Xbox and ps3 version we should have a voice chat room toggle menu. Almost setup like a ventrilo where you can join diff channels. Be in Clan, Party, Custom ones that users make so them and friends who arent in the same guild can talk with. Gives users the ability to have admin on certain channels. Such as Clan Leaders having admin over Clan Voice chat rooms.

This will probably be overlooked, but i think the biggest problem is this game feels like you are lost in a room of people who cant talk. So flame on if you think im wrong but im just trying to help make the game more enjoyable then it already is.

There are currently 3 channels. Area/Clan/Group. Press down on the dpad to change between them.

I really hope they focus on fixing he ingame vicinity area chat, it barely ever works and completely glitches out at arkfalls and other gathering events. Fix what's already in the game (which are actually some really awesome features when they work) before adding more stuff to clog up the game.

There are literally 0 reasons to use Area Chat haha.. I'll stick to my party chat and if that's not working right i'll be in group/clan chat. I don't play XBOX to hear random people rage/sing/rap/babble on about crap i don't care about.

There are always good things and bad things about joining in the common area chats. Sure you have to put up with the noisy ******* who has his music too loud, or that annoying 9 yr old. But on the same token, you might find a couple people interested in grouping up, and from that group you might actually.....make friends? Friends you can continue to play with on Defiance or, god forbid, other games.

I'd like to see more people get out of Xbox Party chat and into the Area chats - especially group chat if you're in a group with others. Or, at least, jump into that chat to see if any of them want to talk. Now that I say that I think having a white name and info indicates they have a working mic. But anyway, yeah, I'd like to see (hear) more people in the game.

I honestly wish party chat wasn't created. For the most part it's turned most online MP games into feeling like you are playing with bots because almost everyone is in it.

Don't get me wrong, I understand why people use it but on XBL a majority of the online MP games I play anymore will have nobody talking because people are all in their own party chat.
