Hmm, now i remember seeing a video about weather effects in defiance. Where are they now or why are they not there?

Maybe for PC, but it will never happen on consoles.
The consoles can barely keep up with a 50m draw distance >_<

I dont think a bit of rain is something an xbox could not run ive seen plenty games with rain .aloso look at battlefield 3 graphics since trion can patch this thing when they like hd dextures could be installed to hard drive through a patch

I don't know much of the specifics, but I do know that it also has to do with the software... the software of defiance is not as advanced as BF3s software, and cannot 'keep up' with the hardware of the xbox. BF3 takes full advantage of the xboxs limited hardware specs while defiance does not.


I was using Defiance in its current state, as a reference. The xbox can barely keep up with a 50m draw distance, and things often do not even become visible until you smack into them. Adding rain/other features would make the draw distance even shorter than it is now.
