    Nim = dead

I finally gave Nim a try this weekend, and I'm happy to say he's dead. I ended up dieing three times while I noted what he was doing and where my escape patterns were. My loadout, perk, and ego skill selection are listed below.

His number one cheap move is his jump+ground slam. If you are hiding on the other side of various pillars in the room you are NOT safe. The only cover I found from his ground slam was A) distance, or B)the center thing with the blue light coming out of it. Another tip would be that I couldn't find an ammo refill anywhere.
    EGO rating 800

    Perks
    Cellular armor
    Escape artist
    Failsafe
    Gunslinger
    Thick Skinned

    Load out
    BMG - used on Nim
LMG - used on clones, and crystals
Respark Regenerator IID - 3sec delay, 1010 cap, 25% health regen
    Frag grenage

    EGO skill
    Overcharge

    Proooud of you.

I used an LMG with all my perks for my grenade.
    Overcharge
Respark with damage resistance to Bio
As for my location, after the first phase... I ran to the 'smaller' room and stayed there for the rest of the fight. There were ammo dumps on either sides of that room. Beat him on first try!

Do they appear after a certain phase? I didn't see them on phase one when the room was empty.

I kinda get how people say the fight is easy after you've completed it. After his surprise shinanigans are known he's pretty simple.

Any player who defeats Nim is worthy of a pat on the back (and indeed praise) for their perseverance, so well done.

I did for him with my favourite shotgun and a lot of running around.
I also think its pretty cool how many different ways people find to end his career in Defiance, I wonder what he will do for a living now? Nim's speedy window wash perhaps!

Well, I didn't look for ammo during the first phase. His attacks were pretty fast and I was focusing on spam rolling lol.
Dunno if they are there or not during 1st phase, however you shouldn't need it on the first phase anyway...

True, I was just making note of what was available quickly as we started the fight. I'm not positive, but I believe they are absent in the first phase when the room is empty.

The only thing out of all that that I think REALLY helps for the fight, is
"Respark Regenerator IID - 3sec delay, 1010 cap, 25% health regen"

This type of shield changes the game into easy mode, pretty much, it's just a matter of being able to mash 'B' a lot of time, and you're good to go.
