Weapon skill not rising ?

I am just curious to know why my weapon skill seems to be stuck . i mean, i mainly use a LMG and ive been stuck on level 5 forever and it doesnt seem like its going up at all. What is going on here? Do i need to get higher ego rating to raise the weapon skill some more ? Please someone help me out on that one.

go get a new LMG... you're current LMG is garbage.. sell it off or melt it down..

literally it's of no use to gain weapon XP..

Every weapon has a Set amount of XP it can earn to overall Skill Level..once it's maxed out it will no longer gain XP for the weapon skill.

best advice.. keep about 5 fresh LMGS in your inventory at all times

depending on how much you play and what not you can max out a cpl of weapons in one sitting.

The higher the EGO of the weapon the more XP it'll have in it's own personal bar.

I'm almost at level 20ARs...i have about 9ARs waiting in the wings. I max one out and depending on its "color" i either salvage or sell it.

It would have been nice if that little tip was mentioned in the orientation missions. But yes, I have one LMG that I just can't bring myself to scrap so I hold onto it on a load out for nasty situations. Other than that, scrap/sell the ones that you max out.

I have a purple Syphon SAW..it's maxed but i'm keeping it until LMGs are maxed..then i'll whipe it's mods and add in some good ones. Its like ego 230 something.
