Can anyone help me..? As im thinking of making an new player for my girlfriend to use.. but..
What happens if i create a new character ? Is it simply cosmetic or do i start over..?
Will it delete or f*** up my old player..? and How many can i have..?
You can create another character. You will just pick which one to play at the character select screen after you login. As for how many? Not sure. I have 2. One I started with and still play a lot and one I play with a friend of mine.
Cosmetic. Nothing will happen to your old character. I made another character and my first is still there and fine. I've made up to three at a time for some reason and I believe I could make a fourth so a decent amount.

Not sure about other platforms, but on Xbox the character limit is 4. I found this out cause when I first played Defiance, it kept automatically logging me out after the tutorial mission, so to fill the time I made 3 other characters (who all had the same issue lol, ah well it worked in the end =D)

No, you still keep the previous character, but the new one starts from scratch as if it's your first time playing, but the old one will remain so long as you don't forcibly delete it

No, it'll be 100% fresh. if your on PC, I'd suggest instead helping your girlfriend by getting her a system, and you can play WITH her, but that's just me. If your on Xbox or PS3... well systems are expensive, alas V-Day has come and gone, a console would make an amazing V-Day gift for a gamer gurl.

You can have a max of 4 characters per account. Creating new ones won't mess up or affect your existing characters in any way. All 4 of mine happily coexist with no problems at all. And aside from the 1-time use lockboxes, if you have any Claim items for entering arkfall codes, pre-ordering, getting the season pass, deluxe version, etc., every character will be able to get their own. Same with any of the outfits you buy in the game store with Bits (real money), everyone gets to wear them.
