nothing to special about it, the people who bought this game are basicly the people who are open minded and curious and dont put to much weight on other peoples opinions and decide to buy it and make their own opinion............

I guess I didn't emphasis much. I meant the ones who complain this game isn't like COD and GoW. I didn't mean to generalize a group of gamers stereotypically, but it does not help that a lot of them are like that.

Just kind of reminds me of when people started playing mass effect for the first time and started complaining that is wasn't COD or GoW. It just seems like its that way all over again.

It also helps that my clan is older than what seems to be the COD average of 19-21. I'm 25 personally and have been gaming all my life. I wouldn't expect any game to be exactly the same as another and would want that variety and Defiance provides a lot of everything I've been looking for. No ill feelings felt, I was just trying to understand your post and the OP's.

Actually, I bought a copy because:

a.) I found it for a really good price on ebay
b.) I was getting bored with the 2+ year long DCUO grind
c.) I like to try new games
d.) I wanted to learn more about the world after seeing the TV show
e.) I don't have children to spend my money on first

Honestly, did you read the game or even look it up before buying this game?

Do you understand this is a MMO and not the regular FPS?

Do you know what that title means when they say MMO?

Trion Is a MMO dev and all around Mostly PC game dev.

They are doing some not seen EVER. Putting a Game and Tv show on the same lines and still not killing the storyline.

Do you understand games now video game are starting to evolve in to something more than Shinier explosions?

Games Like COD that are off the shelf playable are good for two weeks, then most players leave. Because there is no substances to keep players there. Then they have to make something shinier to get their attention again. This has Been sometimes a Huge Money maker for short spurts. But ultimately cost the Dev and manufacter to keep this process going.

Yes, pretty much they make a new one each year. But the consant hire and fire doors are revolving too quickly. For anyone to really put out something more the FPS or RPG made by a D&D dungeon master then fired to hire a new one that kills the storyline halfway through.

So please Understand Trion Is Hitting three platforms at one time. This is even starting to make the rumors of the new console online only more realistic. So please understand this game is going through a ground breaking process. If you dont like mmos, thats cool this is not your thing. But please stop trying to ruin it for Players now and new ones to come.

Worst type of MMO I have ever played.
Absolutely no character progression at all with no wep progression makes this game very hard to keep playing.
So boring now I have done all main missions and side missions.
Drive all over hoping to see an Ark Fall.
Getting repeatedly killed by the same mobs you were getting killed with 2 weeks ago because all that as improved is your EGO lvl.
Really.
I make my own decisions and own opinions of a game and I give this at the moment 5 out of 10.

Feel you no most of these points other then the DCUO. Never touched it. I am happy engaged and we love our neices and nephews from both side of the family. Best part they go home at the end of the day.

I just dont get all the hostility towards trion, from my own perspective...

The game is great i sink hours into it without even realizing, im an old school mmorpger, played most of them especially wow hardcore so i know mmo games. For a first REAL console mmo im happy, actually quite impressed. The game lacks content that is a fact. Im ego 1400 done all missions and a lot of pursuits but i still find plenty to do, arkfalls shadow war and pvp, grinding keys for boxes for a chance on a nice orange etc this itself is testament to how well trion have done to encapsulate the real heart of an mmo environment while keeping it fresh with the borderlandsesque shooter elements.

I think in summary i just love this game, maybe ive been lucky and not encountered many bugs, i mean from release day ive pretty much played issue free with barely any downtime, cant say that about many other games!

Im impresssed by trion, they seem proactive, vocal and fairly transparent, again, cant say that about many other developers. Im happy with the game, id like it to be deeper but its not, i want more content, but im also prepared to wait for it. This IS a great game and trion ARE a great company
