Any good reason to carry a bio-related grenade?

I scoffed at the flash grenades until I discovered while researching how to do a mission that a flash grenade ignites the backpack on a small 99er, so now I've made room to always carry one. Even if what I used it for was a special case.

Bio grenades, though, still strike me as useless. I can 'slow' enemies with my Incubator, but that does little if any good.

So, does anyone know of a mission or something where a bio grenade reveals its true value? Where I won't have wasted my time carrying one around?

    Thanks...

The only grenades I carry are frags. They are always useful and not just in special situations.

Bios aka the Stinkfoot grenades aren't all that bad... i don't use them but giving a bunch of enemies stinkfoot is good because...

    1. it slows down melee characters
    2. while enemies have stinkfoot their damage output is halved or something like that... check it out..turn on damage numbers..get stinkfoot and shoot a critter... your damage #s are cut down..

They are best for the bronze shield raiders. Those have a charge/knock back attack. They are also good against those damn 99er hotfoot bastards.

They're far from useless. They slow, trap and cause enemies to do severely reduced damage. Let's you line up critical after critical on them very easily.

But their greatest purpose is stopping jumpers in PvP. Huge radius and a long duration.

I personally carry the best of each grenade type I have. Bios are useful in some places but very situational compared to the others. I find Flashbangs do a much better job at keeping the enemy at bay - however - Bio's do some damage whereas Flashes only have a miniscule dot.

Now in group play, someone with a flash, someone with a bio and someone with a nice frag - well, that just eats up groups of baddies

Edit: Yeah, forgot Bio's also reduce enemy damage output
