There doesnt have to be patched to download - remember the large patch 4+gb. It most likely added all the content already - just need to "enable" it.
Plus they have said that since show had to be filmed ahead of time they ahve already decided about the content - so now they just have to spread that small amoutn of stuff across season 1, do some "maintenances" and fixes soemtimes and just prepare to develop a new "revolutionary" MMORPGTPSFPSRTS for when defiance makes no money anymore in a year or two.

that's not a lie, it just depends on your definition of content really, or your expectations. It's not a lie because it's not what you expected; it would be a lie if they had said "every 2 weeks we'll give you a mission exactly like the previous missions". They didn't, though, they just said new content at regular intervals. I was hoping for better episode missions, but that's not what we got. Hardly makes it a lie.

True, I am not a fan of weekly pursuits, but it is new content.
I would prefer to see more along the lines of the pre-pilot like content.

Couldn't agree more, this is ridiculous. If adding boring pursuits is what they think is a revolutionary TV/game experience they can keep it. Boring and unoriginal as hell. If they don't add new content by next week, I'm done with this game. There are plenty new games coming out or have come out that I can spent my time and hard earned money on.
even singel player ones... havent had time to play Assassins creed 3 or even bioshock infinite yet!!!
And tbh... pvp... even tho i hate pvp... it sucks here 2 maps and soem shadow wars.
Even a 0 pvp warframe has more replayability.
