Aren't there different alien languages? If haigi is b***h, is it the same in Irathient? Because I heard a Castithan call Irisa a b***h and it wasn't the same word.

It's probable that the swears are universal. I know "shtako" is also part of Castithan vocabulary. Datak Tarr used it when he was cursing that guy who ran from the Volge fight.

they all from votanis or whatever and they were all living together in harmony or something. Like 9 races or something even though we've only seen like 3.

Then why was the word b***h different in Indogene and Castithan? In Episode 2 when Irisa cuts the man free, one of the Castithans cusses at her and the subtitles said b***h.

Iraths and Casti's both have fully formed languages. Indogenes aren't the only ones to use "haigi." If I may revise my observation, instead of the swears being part of a common language, it's possible that there's simply been a lot of crossover because of the proximity the races have been sharing with one another (which is why humans will use Votan swears as well). Another idea is that a language other than Casti was selected or perhaps created altogether as a common language so that the different races could communicate. There's obviously some sort of crossover, otherwise Irissa and Nolan probably wouldn't have understood what Doc Yuule was saying. I'm not saying that they couldn't have known Indogene, I'm just saying what with the whole terraforming of Earth and subsequent re-structuring of society into a post-apocalyptic frontier kind of deal, not sure they would have had time to sit down and learn the tongues of all seven Votan species. Castithans are demonstrably traditional, so it's likely at least some would revert to their own language rather than a common one when distressed.

    Just my thoughts.

Schtako doesn't mean sh*t. I thought it did too, but i noticed that it got used a couple of times where replacing it twith the word sh*t would have made no sense.

Can't remember what the sentence was though
Once more into the fray, into the last good fight i'll ever know.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that subtitled? He said something in his language, but the subtitle showed "shtako coward," or whatever. I think his spoken words were different, meaning they have a word in Castithan vernacular that translates to "shtako."

"Banggo" is the Casti word for "idiot".

Actually "Shtako" is also Casti. The related Irathient catch-all expletive is "skragi"
What the shtak is "twig n' berries"? Tune-in to find out!
