From the contest rules:
Glad I read that before trying.Be a legal resident of: (i) one of the fifty United States (or the District of Columbia); or (ii) Canada (excluding Quebec); or (iii) the member countries of the European Union (excluding the Netherlands); (iv) Switzerland; (v) Australia; or (vi) New Zealand.
So.. Either keep earning salvage as much as possible while playing, or somehow be able to get a lot in 1 hour and never log in until the end.. Seems a bit flawed.Eligible Entries will be judged based on the amount of ark salvage earned, excluding any ark salvage earned in the Salvage Matrix, divided by the amount of time played during the Contest (the “ark salvage Per Hour”). The Entrant who earns the highest ark salvage Per Hour shall be the Winner.
Mhm, guees norway is excluded aswell, not a official part of the european union.
Can't remeber the last time I was this annoyed at a game company, then again thats a feat in itself, good job trion.
THAT is a EVENT????
And i thought pursuits were bad ....
So someone who knows how to glitch/farm insane amounts in 1 hour then play on diff account (like onws pc and xbox)...
And just ONE?
90% of the players dont even have a chance or wont even bother with it.

My biggest issue with this is the pursuit requirements. Specifically making the PVP pursuit a requirement. PvP sucks right now, especially on PC with all of the hackers still modding their weapon damage.
But yeah, the whole 'salvage per hour' thing is just stupid. You're left better off not playing the game at all after grabbing a quick score of salvage. By definition anything that actively discourages people from playing your game is ****ty game design.
The Need / Want - Everything you need or want from a Defiance social hub, ... except for the brothel.
A patcher that randomly uninstalls the game, a contest that encourages people to play for an hour and then quit for two weeks... it's almost like Trion doesn't want anyone to play their game...
(yeah, I know)
Rules state contest starts at a specific time(I believe it said 11:59 pdt tonight) that means the EU players get the same play time as us us players. Yes we can complete the contracts, but everyone needs to complete them at some point completion time is irrelevant.
