So in other words........... play to grind. Yes, great way to get players to start playing again. Offer a prize for people to grind for 2 weeks. OR maybe add new content and get players back to enjoying the game.

Just to make sure because you apparently still did not bother to read the rules:

"Description of Prize. The Winner’s likeness, as portrayed in a photograph provided by the Winner to Trion, shall be rendered by an artist, chosen in Trion’s sole discretion, for use in a special place in an upcoming episode of the DEFIANCE television show."

Actually, the official rules say that it's an artist's rendering of the winner's likeness (from a photograph that you have to provide), but the press release says it's your character's likeness (so apparently you have to take a picture of your character select screen or something, because whatever). That's where the confusion is coming from.

Of course, in the end, what does it matter? Guess if they're restricting it to characters only it means no fatties? *shrug*

As per the norm, this just makes Trion's Defiance team look like a chicken running around with its head cut off. A lack of management or a lack of effective management.

While that does sound like a good way to win there's no chance that I'm going to stay logged off for two weeks.
The game is too much fun to stay offline for that long. Sure there are a few bugs but nothing stopping me from progressing. I'm currently at 3,364ego and loving it. And the way we get new missions with the show is great too. Seeing those electric monarchs last night for the first time brought a smile I my face. I look forward to future content.
I may not have won the hellbug plushie or get to be on the TV show but I'm sure having fun and that's the main thing.

I get the EU issue, which was a mistake on their part, but how is my concept flawed? If you combine several aspects of the game, but keep the details vague, what's the flaw? I get that for these kinds of designs there is often one particular aspect of the game that you can do that gets you there the fastest, but if you don't know the details how will you know which aspect that is?

the part that is flawed using a average to determine the winner, a average will always have a better potential of being good the less its a average off.

And of course the fact that EU players have to ruin theyr average by doing the pursuits first.

Sounds like how BO2 did their leaderboards. A bunch of the people at the top played one good game to get their SPM high and then never logged in again.
