The contest is also about collecting Ark Salvage and being efficient. It is [ (total salvage earned during the 2 weeks) divided by (hours played within that 2 weeks) ] then we are encouraging efficient gameplay and not forcing a grind.

So people exploiting the game using the method in this thread will be the ones being 'most efficient', right?

Not being able to compete and go afk during the two weeks seems a little wierd.

What's going to happen is whoever completes the pursuits first while completing a source of lootable salvage that should remain unnamed here (magic number is 750 here) as often as random occurance allows and then logs off for the remainder of the contest is going to win.

Given the various 'grind' videos, etc.. for specific pursuits, I have no doubt at all that those people exploiting places like a certain mine we all know will be the ones that have the best salvage rate.

Mine 99 or any mission for that matter is highly ineffective for gaining salvage.

Please note that salvage from the Salvage Matrix is excluded.

Do you seriously belive what you are typing? Its not about being efficient, its about devoting every SECOND of your playtime toward mindlessly farming rampage + tagging arkfalls for two weeks!

Or simply play 1 hour full farm modus and then log off for 2 weeks.

Not to mention americans were able to finish theyr contract + pursuits before the timer even started ( BIT LATE TO UNLOCK EM FOR EUROPEANS 3-4AM!)

Don't even get me started on the ridicilous region requirements.

This is the most poorly thought out contest I can remeber ever seeing, the fact that you is trying to "defend/explain" it is laughable, stop trying to ******** me, it just pisses me off further.

I think the people here understand the concept of salvage rate per hour. The problem with the idea lies more in the fact that if you want to be most efficient to win all you have to do is buy a loot boost, try to compete the pursuits as fast as possible, maybe do 1 rampage to get say 350 salvage in about 2 minutes and then stop playing for the rest of those two weeks to preserve your high rate.

This contest is a load of sthako imo, it encourages P2W, they need to change it to highest ark salvage in a hour, so every one stands a chance.

Like others have mentioned ps3 users have the contracts completed already so they do not have to spend in game time lowering there avg arkfall salvage while doing the contracts, they can jump in get their salvage and logout for 2 weeks.

IMO this event can go jek it's self.

The salvage can be found lying around at some particular arkfalls that I keep hinting. As long as you don't go and pick it up there won't be any salvage for you.
