I found the Syphon monarch right next to the Bug'n'Chug however the Paradise contract is not showing up for me either at the moment

Change shard until you find HellBug Extermination minor ark fall and hope it has incendiary mobs.

What does "change shard" mean? Does that mean log out and back in? Sorry to seem like a newbie, but for MMOs, I guess I am.

PS - Anyone recommend an active Pacific Coast gaming clan? I'm in a 3 member clan supposedly geared for West Coast, and I never see them online and I guess I'm looking for more action.

Shard as in phase. I think rift was shard. This game is phase.
Add a boot load of people to your friends list. Scan the map you are in. And go to the one that isn't in the same shard/phase you are in. Different shard/phase has different things up.
