I hardly think, there is anyone that hates this game, they might be tired of it, but, the word hate is a strong word and why would you hate something like a computer game?

I like this game a lot and im sure all the things we dislike will be fixed over time.

want to love the game but i cant the bugs are forgiveable and they dont bother me all that much.
but the lack of content is mind blowing less then a week till full completion good lord, played lots of mmo's and i never started tuning out this early before.

its wierd seeing this much corporate faith, all the people tellling me to wait for the expansion.
1 month in and where all waiting for a 10 pound expansion.

While I only have experience from my 10 plus years in FFXI I can tell you endgame didn't come til later, most games of this type ease you into the world and try not to overwhelm people. Everyone plays games at a different level, some hardcore, some not so. Some people can beat Nim easy some people complain he's too hard for example. I don't remember, with it being so long ago but it might have been over a year before FFXI got endgame content, which constantly evolves since people constantly will beat what's given then cry for more content.
Also keep in mind games that have been out for 10 years + now still release updates and patches that need to be patched or fixed. They can't always foresee every issue in testing.
i hate to bust your bubble op but this game is done....the player count is only growing smaller... and you waiting a year for ffxi end game content, just shows why the console gamers will leave. competition in the form of new games are released way to often to keep a console gamer on that game for that long, especially with no new content or really big/active pvp. big name/established like call of duty, battlefield, final fantasy, maybe halo(until recently with halo 4) are examples of the year round played games that players fall back on while waiting on other releases. it doesnt have anything to do with it being an mmo. console gamers love the idea of having a chance to play alongside tons of people, but the numbers dont lie dude. gamers now a days are into competitive style play for the most part. doing the same ol arkfalls and pursuits are not gonna keep people here, wether its 10 or 10,000. its just boring. i gurantee you if defiance had a pvp that was good...as in more maps/game modes/weapon progression, more people would play. sure we can play with 1,000 other people but only in lame arkfalls that arent rewarding. which makes that many people seem pointless to most... the game is done, and once a game gets a bad rep with the majority, a game that looses players most likely wont recover. example halo 4...at release people craved it. it sold tons of copies. halo franchise has a huge fan base. but now since the pvp lacks, the great campaign/storymode isnt enough to keep it going. on a busy day halo 4 might have 20,000 online around the world. thats sad. haha how long do you think it takes for a game to fail? maybe not to you but here is a reality for you, click the back button right now and go through the general discussion, xbox, pc, and ps3 forums. the majority are negative threads. go online later today in the afternoon and see if there are as many people playing as there were 2 weeks ago.. the game is done. just because you dont agree just means your in denial lol. is it totally dead now? no. is it increasing in negative player feedback and decreasing player count wise? yes. does that mean that even a month in the game is dying? sounds like it to me......mark my words, in a month this game will be laughed at and forgot about. people will ask..."hey man, do you ever play defiance?" and people will reply..." hahahaha, **** no".

There has been negative posts since day 1...no real surprise they are still there. Claiming the game to be dead is kinda more of a assumption than anything. MMO's go through phases.

Phase one: Ooooh,, ahhhh, look at that! Amazing! I want that where did you get it?!

Phase two: Starting to get bored here. That damn bug made me lose this! FFS! Why can't they release a finished game!

Phase three: Everyone Rally against the Devs, they will have to fix the game if we get a large enough petition signed!

Phase four: The game is officially dead. No one wants to play this trash! FFS it is such a waste of my money, I should of bought something else.

Phase five: Silence as things go on.

Phase six: The rebirth for the players who left and are slowly coaxed into coming back through both commercial ways and random gifts or events.

Far as I see it, the Phase is still phase three. The game will grow and the fact that it is free to play after you buy it? No monthly subscription? What exactly are you mad about? You paid for a game, you played a game. IF you played more than five hours then you officially got your money's worth in now adays gaming world.

This made me laugh a little, CoP is still regarded as one of the best expansions for any MMORPG to date. Those "horror" stories are actually stories of the community coming together to take down content.
When my friends and I start playing a new MMO yes we will burn through the content but what keeps us around is the community, the lack of a location to gather and the broken social tools they have given us will be the downfall of this game, not bugs or lack of content.
