Now we all know this game has cool details, but really? You guys act like your still REALLY enjoying this game.
Now out of curiosity, I ask why? Is it that you play with your friends? The lack of content has stopped me from playing for quite some time.
I still play because of the grind. I got an orange for the first time the other day (ego level 1304) and I was excited. Now I run around doing contracts, getting key codes, and trying to do the pursuits. The shooting is good enough to keep me into it. I don't actually play with anyone. Have soloed everything. Still really love it and love the world it's set in. I'm also excited for where it could end up, how much better and how interesting this game could be given time and support.
my purpose for playing the game is finish up achievements, do the weekly content, work on pursuits and generally trying to finish as much content as possible before I find the next thing.
I think when they nerfed the key codes from Emergencies it really killed the game for me, before that I would drive from Mount tam down to overpass just knocking off emergencies, now I see no point to it and that has really held me back on playing as much as I would like.
For me, I'm upset chat doesn't work, text chat specifically... I prefer to get to know people through text chat then if I like them and know they aren't 10 I am comfortable to voice chat. I am pissed by a couple bugs but honestly my ps3 version has been very good to me as far as playability, just got the patch and look forward to replaying some missions and such as my brother and I took turns the 1st run through. As far as starting a clan and meeting people still waiting til they get a text chat fix but look forward to making a Arc hunting group of friends. As for now tho I'm at your point im 1100 ego and have done all missions and side missions but if you can't see the potential this game has to grow and be patient then idk what to say. It's not like your paying a monthly fee to play like a lot of mmo used to. You payed once, you had fun, take a break if needed come back in a lil bit and have fun again, what's to lose?

I mean you can dress it up as an orc warrior or gnoll fighter or whatever you want to call it ... its a berk swinging at you with a sword. Pretty terrain and a ton of zones are fine and all I guess too .. expect how often do you go back to those zones once you actually out level them other than on an alt and for that matter, how much time do you truely spend looking at scenery?
Why I like Defiance is I can log in and work towards "stuff" in a much wider variety of ways, because Key-codes, even though they have made them a bit harder to get, can still be acquired in alot of different ways. I can run Co-ops, I can do ark-falls, I can revisit mines and farms... I can even still get them from emergencies via breaking down loot. Ultimately, I can get the goal we all actually are after in MMOs .. stuff.. by just doing random stuff. I never have to repeat my actions. I don't have to find a massive raid, I don't have to paint by numbers my way through a dungeon, and I don't have to worry about 'maximizing' my character either. I have the freedom to play my way and still prosper as a character. Thats freaking awesome to me.
On top of that its the first in a long line of MMos to try the twitch play and really get it. Its the only one I can remember since really Fallen Earth or DDO where I felt my hand eye coordination actually meant something rather then stupid mechanics.
So do I genuinely like Defiance and am I genuinely still enjoying myself after months... cause yes, I was an alpha tester... of play? Yep yep and yep.
I am still really enjoying the game. the game is fun, and I have fun while playing.

Maybe if this games population dwindles, we can call ourselves the "Defiance few"! HA! Get it!? Cause it's a reference! To the TV show! Or more specifically the battleofdef...I'll show myself out.

I don't play as much as I'd like but I enjoy when I do.
I play a few hours every other night now. That's an acceptable pace for me, and I have not run out of stuff to do.
In my off time, I work, go out with friends, play poker, and other stuff I don't care to share on here.
I'm not entirely thrilled with the PVP, I think it can be much better.
But I like the PVE, probably because I didn't spend the first 65 hours straight just trying to finish it.
My favorite part of the game is when someone I don't know joins in something I am doing, and goes down, I go over like I am going to help but I take my time because I have memorized the timer on the respawn. And when they get fed up of waiting and self revive or extract, I am like "What?? I was gonna revive you!" Should be much funnier now that the mics work.
