Did anyone else notice that at one point, the way he was holding the hilt, that he should have lost one of his fingers? lol
Aside from that, yes, the sword is indeed very cool.
If anything, they should make the blade the default melee attack if nothing else.

I'd sell my soul for that chargeblade/sword. I really wish they would make melee builds and give us melee weapons. I understand this isn't a fantasy MMO and that guns are better than melee, but with alien technology who's to say that you can't have some really awesome melee weapons? There's that super weapon you can get that gives you the shield and the gauntlet. Trion should add more and make them permanent weapons.
