If it's decided by ark salvage/hr, doesn't that mean I could just play 1 hr with a monster average during that time frame & win?

They should also just do a random drawing for everyone who redeems the code and completed the two Pursuits like a lottery system so someone can just get lucky instead of grinding for it.

I disagree. As a working adult, I will never win.

But why ask to literally reward luck instead of hard work?

Before you answer "to be fair" ask yourself if it is fair to those who grind specifically for this?

You should technically be able to accomplish the task at hand within a rather short amount of time. It's not about farming a massive amount of arkfall resources it's being the most efficient. .. Kind of lame which is in line with everything about the game but it makes sense to an extent.

This contest can go two ways... one its based on salvage total earn with in that time limit which basicly means who ever doesnt have a life has a higher win chance or two its based on how much u earn with in a set time and after that times up it resets and u can try and beat that ark count but yet again who ever can play more has a higher chance because they can keep trying over and over...

So basicly i lied this can only go one way which is no life = bigger chance of winning.. great contest really brilliant

Dev updated: The contest is also about collecting Ark Salvage and being efficient. It is [ (total salvage earned during the 2 weeks) divided by (hours played within that 2 weeks) ] then we are encouraging efficient gameplay and not forcing a grind. That's the idea.

In other words, if you are doing activities that don't give much salvage, you hurt your own chances.

Actually I know one silly method to ensure I win, based on those conditions. It is just very annoying to do and I wouldn't be able to play my character much in the duration so I wouldn't bother doing it. I suspect certain smart folks to figure it out very soon.
