In terms of sports and ALL other competitions at a professional level, have you ever heard of a trophy or medal?
    Ever heard of a titel?
equip will allways be a "must have" if you want to stay competitive and a titel doesn´t matter and would be a reward like a medal/trophy.... no one would be forced to kill a specific boss, do a specific gamemode, etc and everyone who want to do it has a title as reward and can be proud of the title like it is allready ingame for every coop.... just make them special, like a title where you only are allowed to melee a boss like Nim.... tough challenge for skilled players and enough reward, because only other skilled players would have that title and it wouldn´t be gamechanging/-breaking.

were they not listening in beta?
i mean about 75% of that stuff seems like pretty obvious stuff in an mmo.

it's cool that they are listening but a lot should have been here already.

What we're talking about is grinding certain content for the sole purpose of bettering your character's digital stat sheet so you do bigger and better numbers.

When you go down that road, you trivialize all content that isn't made for your character's current progression and you gate out anyone that hasn't put in the time to grind, effectively segregating the playerbase for the purpose of... what?

The mobs for your current progression in that style of gameplay are scaled to counteract any effective bonus you got from the gear you're expected to have in that encounter. So why have the gear in the first place?

Let the encounter define the challenge of any activity, not the gear the players in it are sitting on.
It lets everyone compete on an equal level and, more importantly, it makes real skill matter.

Just one thing about the PVP thing.

Segmentation of players by EGO is not wise. That will make it much harder to get the number of required players. And if you are EGO 5000? Good luck with getting into a match. Current queue system is fine. Those who QQ about unfairness, can jolly well make it fair by just leveling up their EGO. It doesn't make that much of difference anyway due to the way gear and perks scale.

I do know that Shadow war appears to have different queues for different regions. The queues need to be merged to make Shafow wars happen faster.

Well since whoever is controlling that blog refuses to allow my comments on there. I'll just post it here.

"So this example list doesn’t mean that these are all getting implemented I’m afraid"

This is very disheartening, given the list of things that you put that should've been in the game from the start. So you're basically saying "Here's a list of all your concerns and suggestions from the forum, we're going to dangle this in front of you and probably only implement less than half of it and then say -Hey we're listening.-" so why even list them? you're just going to get people's hopes up and then later down the line get accused of making promises and breaking them. Be honest with us, what are you actually going to implement? do not beat around the bush.

Anyway, about that list, it's missing a few things.

Enemy AI. It's atrocious. They overwhelm you with numbers and insane accuracy, while lacking any and all tactics. Work on it.
Say you shoot at someone with a sniper rifle and it misses, they should hear the missed shot, look at where it hit and then turn to the direction it came form and then get to cover and go investigate.

A player hub. We need a town, with little to no phasing where people can gather, shoot the proverbial shtako, buy goods, trade, et cetera. Npcs need to converse, give out quests, there needs to be shops, this is where the auction house and storage would obviously go.

More pc options. The draw distance on the PC is terrible. Too many times will an enemy shoot at you where they don't even render, but still hit you with perfect accuracy. Need better graphic options. This can be overlooked somewhat with SweetFX, but it still needs work. That draw distance needs to be fixed asap, as does the constant loading of default characters.

The Mod system is terrible. You get nothing but brutal from lockbox mod caches, and the RNG of the rep mod caches pretty much makes it a crap shoot on whether you even get a mod to match your gun. You even get mods from guns the rep vendor doesn't even sell? what's up with that?

The rep system... this was just terrible. Making the rep "tokens" that get used up, lowering your rep system? who's brilliant idea was that? Make it have tiers, each tier has specific items (based on rarity I guess) that you can buy for basic currency. Make it so you can actually buy specific mods for your guns instead of relying on RNG. If you want to have a type of token system, use it for raids, do not use it for rep.

Just some of the ideas swimming around my head. Had more, but I got excited reading this and then got angry when I saw the part about "not everything is going to be implemented" so just be honest with us and tell us what you're actually going to do and what goes against your design and will never be implemented so we can discuss something else.

It's a list of ideas (mostly suggestions from the community). These aren't in the pipeline necessarily. The point being to discuss these options for review, and vote on what we all want fro the list, and even present new ideas. Rubbing hands in glee and singing praises kind of misses the point. What I see missing from the list is a more dedicated focus toward story driven content exchanged for the much safer attention spent towards groups and pvp enhancements. With the grouping situation being as remarkably pointless as it is for numerous reasons, I kind of feel that this is a bit of a dodge away from content with value. I understand that it's a lot easier to morph the world on the TV show than it is in game, but sparking the imagination shouldn't be restricted away from the game. So my request is to bring in the writers, and give me something that shapes the world that I can care about exploring. I keep hearing that there is such a deep and rich back story. How about you show me a little bit of it and not require that I endure the trappings of the tv show to get a taste? The mechanics are sound, and I could really care less about the cosmetics. The attention to the shoddy AI, and everything else that sorely needs to be addressed is on a more pressing list already, and has been stated ad nauseum.
What I don't see is any attention being directed towards keeping any ones interest past something to shoot. You didn't need a sci fi tv show tie in to pull that off. The question still remains. What is the point of throwing your chips in if you aren't going to play with what you're holding?
