if your opinion is that I am "bonkers", then there is no convincing you otherwise.
However, all of the MMOs I have mentioned are recent (read less than 2 years), and after years, and years, and years, of No MMOs on consoles, except FFXI, to have 6 launched/announced/rumored within a relatively short timeframe(for MMOs) shows that Developers are finally willing to give Console MMOs a chance, which they were never, ever, willing to do before. which was my point, that you obviously missed. and with Defiance and Dust 514, in particular, it was developed for Consoles, and not just ported, like the rest of them. That in and of itself, is significant. The future of MMOs on consoles can go either way, depending on whether Console players take to them, but as of now, it is finally starting to look up, after a long time of it seeming like we'd never see a true Console MMO.
MMOs could establish a real presence in the Console landscape, particularly in next gen, if a good developer or two is willing to take that risk. that's what I am saying.
that said, I have no real ill will towards PC Gaming. people play on whatever platform they want to play, and none is better or more significant than others. I used to play PC exclusively. Now I prefer Consoles. and unlike most PC Elitists and Console Fanboys, I feel no real need to denigrate another gamer just because he doesn't play on the same platform I do.
I'll be too busy having a lot of fun playing games on my "outdated, ancient" console that still looks damn good in 1080p regardless.
