Sniper Tips?

As snipers and scope pretty much go hand in hand - this thread/post may be of interest:

Shows good examples of zoom levels for the various scopes - for example Marksman and Sharpshooter have a lower zoom than the unmodded scope! (wish I'd seen this sooner)

The only true DOT nano effects are Fire and you could technically include syphon... but it's just one hit
The others just allow you to do damage easier

And I tend to be good at snagging head shots, the bolter sounds like one that would be used more for body shots over head shots.
But I'm still going to try it :3

The two nano effects that apply a CC are horrible for many weapons, especially sniper rifles ... fire effects make mobs often run around erratically and electrical nano makes them do some very obscure moves. I personally enjoy siphon and corrosion on any weapon that is not fast firing and/or doesn't rely dealing multiple critical hits.

And no, the Bolter is just as much as any sniper a weapon specialized in critical hits.
And appearantly seems to have a higher nano effect chance, but I could be wrong on this ... I never really counted and it is more of a feeling I get using them to collect kills for Snipe from the Shadows.

In PvP if you get hit by a sniper, you tend to start rolling/sprinting SERPENTIIIIIIINE
I like to know for sure I'm going to get over kill with my headshot :3

when key code farming one those event type things where you get waves of crap, it wont matter if you hit them for 3k dmg or 4k dmg they die in one hit and a bolter lets you lay down the smack faster

when you get your perks going it dont matter for pvp either if you hit for 3900 or 5000

Nice to see you didn't read past the first sentence since I even elaborated later on ... CC means Crowd Control and is not specific to anything, PvE or PvP.

1k base 3x multi, +9% multi when coruch, 15% more when higher, +30% when cloaked, 15% crit multi mod and i am sure i forgot a few things

Don't move the mouse or joy stick at all when your going to attempt the shot because a lot of times I do that and freakin miss. Nerves I guess.

That's why I like my MS Trackball. Lay the dot on the head, move the thumb off the ball, then take the shot.
